Nice!...digging the parts bash and coloring...is the scarf off that Joe trooper?...I never was able to find any of him...

My fave pic is the front view of him peeping thru the binoculars only because I thought of how hilarious it would be if he had googly eyes stuck on the end of them :D

Like this :D

I like this a lot. I have a very similar figure in the works. I may take a couple of things from this to use. The only thing I'd do is paint the lens on the binocs. Being the same color as the body makes it look like he left the cap on.

Where did the goggles come from? Those are suhhhhh weet!

it is a repainted PoC SnowJob head. :D Goggles are part of the sculpt. I took the bill of a cast hat (the one I cut the headset off of form MW Ghost) and glued it to the back then repainted his beard and his cap.

Thank you all for your comments. Need to paint the leg screws and the binocular lenses and take a pic showing the ball cap...any other suggestions? I need to get another rifle like that as I "borrowed" it from Ret. LadyJay. :D

Hey Matt!

I like this overall. Things I'd suggest -

Blackwash (very thinned down) the entire uniform (this will slightly darken it)
Drybrush the original color back onto the uniform (to pop the base color back on the high points)
Do this on the gear as well. Pouches, binocs, etc.

Maybe sling the rifle with something other than a round piece of Hasbro zipline string. Unless you're going for a single point sling, then connect it to his right shoulder strap.

If you want the Hasbro "clean" look, you're golden. If not, try the above to make him pop!

Other than that stuff, the parts and mods look really good.

Thanks, Obi! I appreciate the input. :D

Blackwash...I want to...but historically these fail when I try them.

Already added some drybrushing with a lighter sand color...getting better with drybrushing...I think...

I was thinking single point that is why I used the rope. Will look for pics of how to attach to webgear...

Tons better, imo. It doesn't look so squeaky clean anymore. : )

Another tip when you have black gear, like this guy's vest, boots, gloves -

Dry-brush with a slightly lighter color, like dark grey. Try to refrain from using browns (dirt) as your highlight color.

Daaaaang!...that looks tons better!...I know you're happy with how them subtle effects turned out...the wash looks really nice...you were worried for nothing...lots of nice detailed pics too...

I seriously like that mod you did to the snow hat...turning it into a ball cap was brilliant!...I've been wanting to use that head for a while, but couldn't get past the winteriness of it...thanks for finally giving me a way to incorporate it as its an awesome head sculpt

Awesome! I like the added accessories. I like what you did to his goggles. Weather is a nice touch also.
