Can you guys tell me how many different versions or paint jobs this vehicle has had and about how much they sell for?

I have one that I butchered with a bad paint job and will probably repaint again, but I would like to get more or ones with good paint decos.

Regular olive drab

Regular desert tan

R/C desert tan

R/C NATO tri-color

All of them are expensive these days.

Wonder if I can trade my broke-dick AH-1W for one? :D

I really wish they would have released the Vietnam era one with the gun shield.

Me too. I'm really hoping they got stashed in some other box.. somewhere.. but as I unpack everything the grim reality is starting to set in..

Thankfully I got them both for retail/cheap.. so the monetary loss isn't huge.

It is when you can no longer fight the urge to replace them. :(

I paid more than I'd like to admit for mine. It makes me want to pull my hair out that these were sitting on clearance shelves in Wal-Mart for $30. But, when these were out I was in Iraq and I definitely WAS NOT into 1:18. So be it.

I remember my K-mart clearanced out a whole bunch of the RC ones for under $20 a few years back. I didn't buy any because I figured because of the RC features, the toy features and realistic look would have been sacrificed.

I agree - the R/C version is a drag. There's not cargo compartment and there isn't even a space in the cupola for a TC. It's a fun toy idea for kids, but hard core R/C'ers won't go for it (of which I am not) unless they want to spend a ton of time upgrading it.

... How??

It was like that when I opened the package up. I dropped the box which fell about 2 feet, so technically I broke it. But the box was packaged like garbage. 7 vehicles stack on top of each other with a couple layers of newspaper layered over the top. Nothing on the sides or bottom of the box or separating the vehicles. Also, the guy charged me twice what it cost to ship.

I didn't realize these had gotten so expensive. I got mine on clearance somewhere for about $20 several years ago. However it was the first and only one I saw in my area so I would have snatched it up at double that cost.

Oh by the way...Hi to all here. I've been lurking for a while even though I signed up back in March.

You'd be hard pressed to convince me a 113 is worth a c-note. Perhaps if it was a Vietnam version, or a VADS, but not a run-of-the-mill 113 from the last 20 years.

After my previous two we're gobbled up by the Brown Scourge.. I felt like I *had* to have at least one in my collection, but I sure as heck wouldn't drop another $100 on one.

Had some cool ideas for modernization custom, but as usual it's on the back burner.
