Once I'm done with the sculpting, you will not see any MU at all. Plus, in building the base body, I looked at every articulation type and which ones that would work the best for this. MU has the parts right now, so that dictated the design for the most part.

This won't be for everyone, but first and foremost, I want something much better overall. And unless I do it myself, I will most likely never see it.

Obi what lower legs are those? Also, is this just a concept design of yours or is it based on something(i. e.Comics, video games, etc)?

I agree with you. MU figures have some nice features, articulation wise. Did you notch out the ball socket on the hips so as to make it work like a "Joe" upper thigh?

Lower legs are MU Spider-man. This is my concept I suppose, since I've been wanting to do this for quite some time now. Having the POA isn't anything new really, but putting it all together in a military soldier hasn't been done.

Not yet. I'm working on various body mods right now, so I'll get to it.

Are they spliced with a combat boot?

Bravo Team boots, with peg for swivel. So there's a hole in the leg to fit the boot peg.

Can't wait to see all that articulation. Should even beat out Microman figures.

Don't know about that, but it will be close at least.

I still have to add the extra neck joint, then on to the sculpting! Can't wait to get started on that... and what a job it will be, I'm sure.

Hopefully I can do a bang-up job on this, and you guys really like it. If so, the plan is to make this a figure kit. Maybe even a 1/18th exclusive figure kit! How's that sound?

Yer making my dream POA figure right there Obi...the reason I like the MU figs so much is due to their great articulation...points that desperately need to be carried over to Joe...very interested to see how this fully sculpted figure comes out...I assume the torso will remain basically the same with a vest of some sort over it?

What type of uniform are you going to be going with?

Fairly standard BDU pants, with a combat shirt. Very similar to what the shock trooper wears.

Would you be willing to post a pic showing the hip socket on the thigh? I'm curious to see what mods you make to it. Thanks.

I can do that. Have to wait until Wed though... data usage thing.

I hear ya... my dream too! The torso will get some sculpt, but yes, keep it simple for vests.

I'm ready for this! Keep the pics a coming as you get the mods done.

Not to worry. I'll keep a pic record of the entire process for you guys.

99% of the sculpt work is done. Just need to add sleeve pockets and then go over everything one last time. I'll say this... it's definitely different looking than what we're used to. It's not going to look like your average joe fig, that's for sure.

I'll have pics up tomorrow evening. Until then...

Ask Jesse if he has another one of the modded Shocktrooper vests he did for me.
Obi, this is awesome.
Any chance one of our resident casters will make these?
