Anyone else seeing this or is it just what I want to see? :D

It is probably more accurate. Better watermark it before the club steals it like Hasbro did Rex's.

So I decided to take the plunge and order the FSS, then I got this email:

"I show you placed an order for the GI Joe FSS 2.0 and you selected FedEx 2 Day Air or FedX Express Saver shipping for your shipping method. Just to make you aware your order may incur additional shipping fees but we will not know exactly what this fee is until the item is prepared for shipment. This additional fee is based on dimensional weight for Expedited Orders meaning if the dimensional weight (size of the box) is greater than the actual weight then the dimensional weight is what is used. Our system does not know, when calculating shipping, what the box size will be only the weight. If you decide you do not want the FedEx 2 Day Air or FedX Express Saver Service I can gladly cancel your order and then I can reprocess it with regular Ground Service shipping. If I do not hear from you I will assume that you accept this notification and we will contact you if there are any additional shipping fees needed at the time of the shipment. Thank you."

Huh? What?

Good thing they haven't had experience shipping, oh, 6 different shipments in 2 different sizes to people over the past 6 months to gauge size and weight of their packages.

They also apparently shipped free Priority boxes via FedEx, according to Hellion.

I noticed on their pricing this time around, that they've increased USPS Priority so that FedEx Ground is actually the cheapest.

It was the cheapest last time around too... for me, anyway. And yes, they did indeed use a Priority Mail box given away free by the USPS (as incentive to get people to use PM) and then shipped via FedEx.

That's why I choose it, it was cheaper than USPS. I'm new to the club and no hater, but this is such poor service and just plain weird...

You'll either get used to it and begrudgingly accept it, get used to it and rationalize it to the "haters" (I despise that term), or get fed up with it and not deal with it any more.

The club doesn't seem to care which as long as the money keeps pouring in.

Quite honestly, if BBTS did not buy about 200 subscriptions I do not think there would be a second run.

Behind a camera watching you!
From the club:
Quote:
Because there was an issue with the server's time clock (the server closed one hour early), we will open the FSS 2.0 for 2 hours tonight from 9PM Central time to 11PM Central time. We must cut this off as we have to get the manufacturing quantities to the factory.

Please do not call the office as we cannot place your orders for you. if you have a cc issue tonight, we do not guarantee that we can resolve it. You need to find out what the issue is with your card company and resolve it before 11pm tonight.

No orders will be taken after 11pm tonight - no exceptions.
In the future, please do not wait until the last day (or hour to place an order). The order period was 22 days long. This way, you have time to resolve any cc issues that may occur. Thanks for understanding.

Doesn't this happen every year they don't sell enough?

Dear Club,

If you hadn't poked around on revealing everything (headsculpts, card art, etc.) people would have had less reason to wait until the last minute. Thanks for blaming us for your screw-ups, AGAIN.

The Club really did fuck around and take their sweet time getting all the reveals out. That shit should've been released well before the "For Sell" period went up, instead of up until the last day.

They never can accept fucking blame, can they? They really, really can't.

Yeah they screwed their own pooch this time easily.

Why would you NOT want to have ALL the info out there for AS MUCH TIME AS POSSIBLE?

Making people wonder and wait till the last minute doesn't help their cause AT ALL, and I can only see them doing it if they seriously were doing everything at the last minute, and/or were afraid of people NOT signing up because the stuff looked shitty or something.

Some dumb shits were signing up blindly, the first day it went live. Like they were going to sell out of preorders? I'll be damned if I ever buy anything sight-unseen from the Club.

Haha...well, I've placed blame on us both...I type so fast and don't care if i screw up (at least not as much as you or MR do) and then hope the IPad will catch it...
