I'm old and curmudgeony enough that I simply can't tolerate a megatron that won't turn into a gun. I understand the implications that has in today's world for a toy manufacturer, but I'm just not interested in a stealth bomber megatron. I've skipped every version since Henkei Classic 1.0 Megs (in proper G1 colors) and Hegemon.

I had the tank version as a kid as my only Megatron, which I'll admit is more badass. But as an adult, I only want an MP version of the Walther. Nothing less.

Which is why, although I love getting more cars and new characters with Wheeljack and Bumblebee, I REALLY want that fucking Megs 2.0 to finally get made to match MP-10. I want him sooner than later, because my Megatron is the gigantic MP-05 which doesn't fit with the rest of the MPs.

Probably because the decision to start numbering was made after the product selection was made. IIRC the first leak about these two also mentioned a tape deck-type window box for Soundwave, so the packaging may be recent. Of course that doesn't explain why SW isn't #1... unless you take into account evil. Because who with a REAL collection doesn't have #1? Hmm? :panic:

Re: Megatron, I'm a G1 guy myself. I didn't like the goofy Classics version so I passed. The Henkei version improved on the deco but I still didn't like the mold. I have the crummy 2-pack tank version as my Classics Megatron. It doesn't thrill me (especially the gun-arm) but I'm okay with his G2-like tankiness. I was interested in the IDW Megatron (pre-Megatron from what I hear? To go with Pax) because it looked like a cool enough toy. But with the Dreadwing repaint coming up, yeah, it's now redundant. I now just want Pax and Trailbreaker from that wave.

And v2 MP Megs? Yes please. I was never all that impressed with MP-05.

I grabbed one. That makes SS, SW, and TC in MP-03, the Coneheads in iGear, and Sunstorm, TC-filling-in-as-generic-blue-seeker-storm, and Acid Storm in MP-11. And I'm done.

...unless they release a purple one.

I just got a refund for one of my two orders as well (Soundwave). I was kind of expecting that. The whole thing reeked of "someone fucked up."

Now I'm wondering how they're going to screw me on my Acid Storm order, since I added a regular item to qualify for the free shipping. My guess: they'll refund the AS price, minus the shipping charge for the FoC Magnus. :whatever:

Actually, I did the same thing and they cancelled the whole order and refunded both items, even the one they had in stock. I guess it wasn't worth shipping it for free.

That's good to hear. I'm only a little annoyed at how everything went down, and wasn't in the mood to fight over something like that.

This just keeps getting more and more ridiculous.

First they list the new MPs 10 days too early, going as far as to restock Soundwave 3 times.

Then they cancel all of the orders and issue refunds.

Then, hours later, they issue emails explaining that the item wasn't supposed to go up for sale.

Then, they send emails to some people apologizing for the screw-up, offering 10% off of their next order.

Then, at least one person received an Acid Storm... after having his order cancelled and his money refunded.

Then, some people find that their ebay ID has been banned from the TRU store.

Friggin amazing.

At least one person on TFW has reported being banned, but not leaving feedback.

If someone has already gotten fired over the posting-too-early screwup, then I would think that the back office monkeys would be treading a bit more lightly instead of trolling. :whatever:

Good grief, let the REGULAR Metroplex MADNESS begin. This isn't even referring to chrome plated Metroplex, the damn standard Titan Class issue of him is already causing a flurry.

Amazon.com has evidently sold out of their own pre-order stock, and now the only way to get him through their site is to pay 170+ through 3rd party sellers. TRU wants 130, plus taxes/shipping on top. Not even sure if Target will carry this one.

Anyone interested in getting Metroplex MISB for 110 needs to send me a PM, as I know of one last place that still offers pre-orders at that original 110-115 mark.

People have been bitching about Acid Storm since day one.
Everyone else except Sunstorm is a G1 character, so they get free passes in the eyes of most. There's also three distinct molds being used, not counting the Conehead wings.

I just checked the local CL postings and guys are asking between $250 and $300. I guess considering I spent nearly that much on the Takara Soundwave and 2 cassette packs at "retail" via BBTS, it's still cheaper than getting the Japanese ones which are sold out everywhere.

But still, considering the retail price on the TRU one, just going around and buying them up to turn around and scalp them on your local CL is the lowest form of piece-of-shittery.

What someone needs to do, is place an ad in the "M4M" section of CL, with an ad that says "blowjobs, any size or race, I don't discriminate" and then list his phone number, plus have it say "Mention that you want a 'Soundwave' as the key phrase so I know what you're talking about".

He'll likely need to replace his phone. :wave:

I don't feel bad about those guys. I contacted this fucknugget locally about a TRU Thundercracker, and he wanted like $250 or $300 for it. Some other guy wanted like $200. I finally found one in stores, after getting one online for $50 and one on eBay for like $120. Problem is, I still don't need 2. I listed mine on CL for right above retail and nobody bit.

I don't get Craigslist, it's more or less just a joke between me and my friends.

I poked around CL a bit when my girlfriend and I were apartment hunting, but that's it. I'm a paranoid bastard and too much stuff just looks scammy.

I saw that over at Seibertron. It's pretty awesome, but since I've already got 2 MP Optimi, and they're blowing out all the cars, too, the last thing I need is a gigantic standalone Prime.
