If articulation is getting in a way of aesthetics then I have no use for that articulation. Figures can already be dynamically posed without the mid thigh joint or double elbows.

Depends on your definition of "dynamically posed".

Can you pose ANY Joe (besides Amazon SE, SS, and Red ninja) sitting in a chair, with one leg crossed over the other knee? Or sitting on the ground cross-legged? As for any standing/action poses... yes, you can technically get Joes into most common poses, but you're still very limited to how you do it, and what it looks like (unnatural). Swivel feet are not the method in which the human leg rotates.

Can you pose ANY Joe's arm where the hand can actually touch his face/head? I'm not saying we have to have double elbows, but designing swivel-hinges a little better would go a long way. The arm sculpts are to blame mostly, but when you can't even get a full 90 bend... that's ridiculous.

How about the head/neck? Can ANY Joe go prone and actually raise his head to sight a weapon? This may not be as important to most people, but it is still an issue. What's the point of having a ball-jointed head if it barely moves in any direction? Again, this could be designed better for starters, but the addition of another neck joint would greatly improve the posing potential.

Any of these 3 joints can be done, and if designed/sculpted with better forethought, would not look so obvious or horrible. So... I'd go with "limited dynamic poses" as it stands. And "limited" is not very realistic, in any book.

And when the 118th fig is released, don't buy one. You won't like it anyway! :D

Got to agree. I really want figures that can replicate these types of poses:

What gets my goat the most is guys who say the new swivel wrists aren't necessary. They should be mandatory until they get a damn wrist ball.

Agreed, and agreed.

I stand by the idea that if 12" figs can be more realistically posed, so can a 4" fig. Yes, the 12" figs benefit from wearing actual clothes to enable and hide the joints. Again... with better designing, sculpted figs could be MUCH better than what we're getting.

I would gladly pay $15 for something like this, as long as it didn't come in some :rainbow: color(s).

Exactly!...I care about this so much, that I've started adding double elbows and rocker ankles to all my customs...having feet flat on the ground with legs spread looks so much better not to mention adds stability...

I'm guessing somewhere between $14.99 and $24.99. The mech will likely be significantly more.

I've got to see the paint, and then I have to see what the end product looks like.

I may be in for one or two, but not the entire line.

Because a 1:18 222 would be pretty expensive, and unlike diecast cars of '80s movies and TV, there's not many who will put up the cash for one. Airwolf ain't no Ghostbusters or The A-Team.

I'd love to see someone mod an OH-58D to do a (relatively more) modern one.

NSA should get off his ass and find that one he cut open and send it to digler.

I've been dreaming of this for a while...with a hidden box that plays the theme upon liftoff :D...seriously though, I would want that...

I know what you mean Eddie, the way companies have stayed away from making it for so long you would think the helicopter has HIV or some shit.

I know the show was pretty popular back in the day, they need to do one.

I'd want a During Air Wolf and After Air Wolf figure of Jan Michael Vincent...

MP3 player. I remember a sweet Vietnam M113 custom that had an MP3 player loaded with period music.

But fer Sirius, the 58 is the closest were gonna get to a Triple Deuce, so might as well upgrade that shit.

Another company that's putting out a quality (maybe even superior,) product and is a legitimate threat to Hasbro. Not so say I want to see Hasbro go out of business, quite to the contrary. I feel that if Hasbro has legitimate competition in the marketplace, that will light a fire in their R&D department and they'll be forced to give the public what they want as far action figures and accessories. If this were to happen, then that would mean more figures, weapons, and vehicles for us all.

You better be talking about Filmation's "The Ghost Busters". :D

If the parts ever happened (I.E. head sculpts, proton packs and traps) I'd seriously consider putting out the dosh for Hot Wheels 1:18 Ecto-1.

No shit man...I'd be all over that and I'd display it next to my original figures and Ecto 1.

Gigabread needs a 3-D printer at his house along with some casting equipment.

Dude, I never really got into Ghostbusters anything for some reason. The fig's were cool but never on the same level as Joe's.

Don't get me wrong I grew up watching the sh-t like most of you but never got too into it.

Body - wild Bill comic pack
proton pack - Sandtrooper backpack
heads - TBD

That's at least a workable start. (almost did this but the pack packs dried up at the local TJ Maxx)

I thought about WB as a buck, but that neck is so short. Not to mention the soft sculpt.

I'm thinking Retaliation Airborne/Data Viper buck would be a better starting point.

Didn't Slayer do resin proton packs a while back? I wish another caster would re-release them.

They did. I talked to DW about them this past weekend, actually. The original for the proton pack was in wax, which often doesn't survive the molding process, and he doesn't presently have a copy to mold from. But hopefully soon, and then hopefully they'll show up in the store again.

I second that notion, but it would have to be the really cool looking Hind from the original RedDawn not the other one that's ugly as sh-t.

The helo in Red Dawn wasn't a Hind, it wasn't even Russian, it was an SA 330 with a mock Mi-24A greenhouse and wings bolted on.

EDIT for PITCHURS!

Just looked at some pics of the SA 330 and that thing looks nothing like the badass in Red Dawn. They modified the f--k out of it. So what do you think K-tiger you gonna try to do one?

When whoever it is makes a Hind, be it true scale or something like a PTE underscale.

Then they should do the basic frame and plan in advance the various versions of it. Two types of fronts (one for the the A's glass house and double bubbles for the rest) those square boxes (engine filters or something) on later models. The D chin turret or the F's side mounted cannons.

And finally the sweet Super Hind that South Africa.
