Just looked at some pics of the SA 330 and that thing looks nothing like the badass in Red Dawn. They modified the f--k out of it. So what do you think K-tiger you gonna try to do one?

Shit, I don't have any talent beyond paint. Fabrication and sculpting are waaay out of my league.

When whoever it is makes a Hind, be it true scale or something like a PTE underscale.

Then they should do the basic frame and plan in advance the various versions of it. Two types of fronts (one for the the A's glass house and double bubbles for the rest) those square boxes (engine filters or something) on later models. The D chin turret or the F's side mounted cannons.

And finally the sweet Super Hind that South Africa.

I thought I was the only one that wanted an A model.

Selectivecompression had one on there site (double bubble cockpit), but sold out not really sure if it was true to 1:18scale (didn't look like it), but apparently some say their is one coming out soon, but who knows?

I like Hind Helicopters in all flavours, even the MiL-25/35 monkey export 'Monkey Model, as the USSR called them'


Sadly the Russians will be phasing them all out by 2015 (replaced entirely with MiL-28s and Ka-52s), But at least they've been sold around the world so any model of Hind made in or near 1/18 true scale will be useful.

In all honesty they should have relegated the Hind to reserve or training units already. They're broker than we are, though, so she's stuck around even with her two replacements long having been decided.


Can't agree with the 52. I talk about the F-104 being a boneheaded move, a 52 would top that.

Ka-50 or GTFO.

The Red Dawn(Rambo III) Hind was a Puma dressed as a Hind A. I'd rather see the KA-50 myself. The 52 is just Russia's latest export darling because they put iPad touchscreens in it and China can't build jet engines or advanced military electronics (see the J-15 compared to the Su-30MKK which it is supposed to clone.) India's and Russia's Flankers would eat China's all day long. China overpaid immensely for a rotted carrier just to say they have one. Say, how about a 1:18 Invincible class carrier to go with that new Harrier?
