SWgeek used to have one, but I think it was actually a StarWars helmet modified.

Great? It's awesome if you want to do comic Aries, not so useful if you want to do a Spartan.

I said Spartan, not that homoerotic comic/film fantasy..

Huh...I didn't know it based off a comic character...I thought it was just a generic spartan type figure kit...

That head looks like the black chick from Conan the Barbarian

Fuck me, a Grace Jones figure using that and most of that damn skinhead bounty hunter would own my shelves.

Thanks to Fogger, I just got all my parts to complete my WHALE finally!

Everything's had the stickers removed and all the residue and dirt cleaned, and the bits are drying now, waiting on reassembly (for the first time in 25 years!) and new stickers in the morning!

Thanks Mr. Fogg!

Lots of extra work and potential for parts to be ruined.

Need to get pilot Scarlett's vest before I decide to go in the current direction.

I'm starting to think I need to start making static books to go with the maps and scrolls. And I really need to hit up the casters for some skulls.

But what I should really do is get off my duff and get another figure going.

That looks awesome. Check out the dollhouse section for some small scale books. I bought some in a tiny book rack for my ML figures, which would be slightly oversized for 1:18 figures but might work just the same.

Or, there's always the books that came with Henry Jones Sr and Ash... maybe I should cast those.

I'd like to have the grail diary, but Henry is more than I want to spend. Sure, I could use 80% of the figure, but I digress.

Ash's Necronomicon would be nice to have, too.

There was a Peter Parker from the first Spiderman movie line that had a great book shelf with books, but he's crazy expensive now, too. I'd cruise the pink aisle, but I feel creepy there. I do have a few books from various scale figures, so it really comes down to luck and keeping your eyes peeled.

Books should be pretty easy to make...get some thin off white foam for pages and make the book covers out of thick card stock colored any color you want...

Actually saw a vid from a doll house enthusiast using straight bound magazine spine......

Those would all be useful, but I'm not seeing the Palisades Necronomicon there.

Books wouldn't be that tough to make, in theory. You wanting ones with working pages, or just solid props?

I actually know how to bind real books. I haven't done it in 10 years, but I had a book-binding course in college where we had to design, then print the pages, cut them, then bind them using fabric/paper covers and the tiny cloth strip (I forget the terms all the pieces are called) and everything.

I'd imagine you could make 1:18 scale books using the same premise? They'd be tedious, but worth the effort. You'd just need to use very thin paper, like tracing paper or some very thin drafting paper, me thinks, and something slightly thicker for the actual covers.

Not sure if it's what you are looking for, but Playmobil has books.

I have thought about using Playmobil accessories, actually.

I'm perfectly happy using static books, but when you need to fill shelves they need to be cheap and plentiful.

I use a lot of Playmobil stuff. They have a wide variety and are in scale. The nice thing about their books is that they have a block of different size books, single closed books, and single open books. If I can find mine I will take a picture with Joes to show scale if you want.
