The barrel and muzzle break are REALLY bugging the shit out of me. The thickness is the most obvious thing, but it looks shorter than I'd like, too. I can't say there's anything else unforgivable until I have one in hand.


I quite like Hasbro's, especially considering it's age. Falcone's just seems too "slight" in build.

True enough, but seeing as this is their first FAL shouldn't they have done the bog standard one first? We know they'll do another one down the line, because they never can seem to leave well enough alone. Do the short barrel on a fucking para variant.

But what do I know?


EDIT

Looking at FALs I'm not sure the barrel length is an issue so much as the girth.

Heh heh, that's why I put the disclaimer in the first post when I added the photos. :D Once my camera battery recharges I'll get some pictures of them placed correctly. At least I hope they'll be right, lol.

My only question is. Why does so many people want the FAL? I've seen it hyped up quite a bit on the Shittank and Joecustoms. Do that many people keep Gijoe in the 70s?

The FAL is still used extensively in Middle Eastern wars. It may have even been more common than the AK47 in Libya a few years ago.

I feel the same way. In 3D format they look right, but don't translated well to physical objects. It's actually fairly accurate though, but I would rather have them somewhat beefed up.

The FAL was the "right arm of the Free World". It was used by virtually all of NATO except for the US. It is also the most widely issued combat rifle in history. It is rugged and reliable, and is still being used in parts of the world today.

And it just looks fucking cool. Oh, and our very own Midget has/d one. It has kind of gotten short shrift in the toy market. Christ, MGR did a FN MAG (M240 in American) before the FAL.

The FAL should have been in a MGR line up LONG ago.



Any way to get beefier, Falcone? I agree it's wonderfully detailed.

On the ACR? Nope. I can't find one anywhere and I'm not sure where the inspiration came from. I know it goes with the ACR based on that's how it's listed on MGR's facebook page plus it only fits on that barrel.

No, it's just one of those live and learn things. The FAL is part of a metal mold with the rest of the weapons in the set. There's no way to change it without just starting from scratch.

I was considering redoing a few of the weapons in the future on my next action figure mold, but that probably will not happen now with Marauder's latest release of many of the same weapons. If Marauder does something, there is no reason for me to, even if it's more accurate. Because of the strong sales numbers Marauder has, it's not cost effective. I will be trying to fit a few new weapons on my next action figure mold though.

To stay on topic. It's interesting that they made the laser rifle significantly smaller than Hasbro's. Since Hasbro's was already somewhat small to begin with. I still might buy a few though simply because it's my preferred weapon for my Joe team since i am an ARAH guy. I'm still really looking forward to the MP9 and Skorpian.

Well, MJ's weapons are easier to mod and paint than Hasbro's so you've got that going for ya.

I'll probably just stick with the Ak and the ACR. The 416 looks nice but I can't get past the mag issue.

Found what else bothered be about the FAL. No Trilux sight. :(

They go all retarded for modular shit and don't do up the FAL? Granted the up/down handle is a great idea, but no sight option.
