I have to assume it's out of print, perhaps like the old Rhino G.I. Joe dvds.

....which are far superior in both sound and picture quality than the shoddy stuff Hasbro recently released via Shout Factory.

just season 2 v1 is out of print?

Unfortunately. I bought all He-Man seasons because I knew something like this would happen.

Couldn't tell ya.

Me either.

I bought mine about a year ago from a guy on ebay selling full series sets for @ $90 (and She-Ra for @$60). There were lots of them then. When that stuff goes out of print, the ebay and amazon 3rd-party guys go up astronomically to pick off those infinitely wealthy pay-any-price types.

There are pirated versions out there, I am sure.

Also, check this out:

98 bucks, Eddie. Is that too much?

Lords of light, that's a good call; I just bought that a couple of weeks ago!

Also picked up the full series of Dungeons and Dragons. I'm pretty sure that's why I never trusted roller coasters...

I read somewhere that the motivation for "Ookla's" name came from one of the artist's Alma Mater.

UCLA.

I also have the Dungeons and Dragons series on DVD, and am grateful that people out there are acknowledging the golden age of Saturday morning animation.

Superfriends, Thundarr, D&D, etc... man, those were good days. The entire world revolved around those three hours of the week.

I can't stop watching Thundarr, and really like seeing Ookla destroy stuff when he is angry! Already on the second of the four discs.

It's a great show that brings back a lot of memories.

Also recently won "Spiderman: The '67 Series" from Ebay.

Everyone ready for The Faceless One and Teela?

At least the new figures have lasted a few hours. Those 3 minute sellouts on new stuff were horribly frustrating.... plus, now that they last longer, you don't have to fight the traffic at noon and get the WSOD. The last few months I've waited an hour or two (mostly because I was busy at work and forgot) and the ordering was smooth as silk.

It's not quite as grim/gritty as Resolute, but it's definitely got more sophisticated writing, less corny jokes, and vastly better animation quality. The whole '02 MOTU revival was a dud because of Mattel's incompetence regarding toy distribution and horrible case pack-outs. But the cartoon was the bright spot by far.

i totally wasn't expecting the grittiness...but i did get the comparison between the old and new toons, the update being superior and being more grown up

so i got that new (to me) MOTU series...VERY cool...every fan of the original series should see it...i like the first couple eps give the backstory/origin the Filmation series never did...the fight scenes are really cool too...they're much more than just He-Man throwing everyone or everyone getting lasered somehow...and its all really similar in design and feel to the OG series...

one thing i'm already bored of though is everyones ninja style fighting...

I'm going to pick up my cousin 80's toy collection in about a month(he has A LOT of stuff too!), and being a joe collector only, I have no clue about anything rare or expensive from MOTU. I only know that Some items are mib/moc joe items(mostly later stuff, me hopes for a misb night boomer :D) and many dead mint vehicles(Including a perfect flagg, as nice as they get, and trust me when I say that, I already own 4 of them to TRY to get a pefect one). Can anybody give me an idea of what to look for? I will try to snag as much stuff as I can, but the joes will be my priority(motu, heman and transformers are probably the other toy lines he has, but Im not sure about the transformers), so I don't know what the holy grails of those lines are. I know he does have the castle grayskull though, is that worth grabbing?

Did anyone order the mystery set today?

That thing was vaporized before I could even order anything.

I'm with Eddie, I had no idea what you were talking about until I looked it up. Sounds like a way to burn off excess inventory. I'm not too sad I missed it, as I think I'm up to date with the line. It was probably just some stands or a leftover Zodak. You know it wasn't going to be a Battle Cat and a pair of Titus's!

They hold stuff back for correcting lost or erroneous orders, convention booth leftovers, etc. Not much mind you, which means they probably only had about a half-dozen of these mystery things.

When I had that trouble getting my Feb order, they were able to send me a whole new order in April, even though the stuff had officially "sold out" in Feb.

Ordering has been better the last few months, however, I don't know if that improvement will translate to the post-SDCC experience. BUT, matty cannot say that they don't know how many to order. They have had several years now, including multiple SDCC's with which they should have been able to estimate demand pretty closely.

I will likely have to go the ebay route though, as I really want the Queen version, not the space cadet version. I know all the parts are there to make either, but I didn't even know she was a spacegirl until this alternate packaging came out. I guess I'm not MOTU-hardcore enough.

I am catching up quickly. My wife does not like seeing the boxes come in. I sold my Marvel Universe lot of 100 plus figures to help fund this "Project" and am loving it. Thankfully, I am getting some great deals by purchasing these loose in lots rather than individually for the most part.

I have also in the mail the following 12 figures:

Mer-Man
Whiplash
Webstor
Trap Jaw
Tri-Klops
Buzz-Off
Orko
Roboto
Man-At-Arms
King Grayskull
Vikor
Catra

I still need the following 5 figures to be caught up as I only want 1 of each character and not their alternate personality (Adam, Adora & Keldor) nor duplicates though that they are cool (Battleground Teela, Pre-Eternia Disguise He-Man):

Wun-Dar
Battle Cat
Zodak
Teela w/ Zoar
She-Ra
