Suck it, toy snobs!

I recently moved into my new house (finally!), and I'm getting box after box after box of toys out of my storage unit. Many of these boxes are full of my ARAH MOC collection. In displaying them on the wall (by year of course) in my new man-cave, I got to the end of the class of '82, and there sat swivel-armed cobra officer in his pristine little AFA case. He just didn't fit in, didn't hang on the peg, so I just now un-AFAed him!

So all the toy snobs in the world can go cry in their pillows, because I don't give a sh!t about paying someone to tell me my toys are better or worse than someone else's. I can think of few things that seem like a larger, sadder waste of time.

I've got a few more AFA figs too, and when I unbox them, they're getting freed too! AFA can go pound sand.:pirate:

You free them from one prison yet leave them to rot in the confines of another. So sad.

A Real American Hero. What we call 3.75" G.I. Joes made between 1982 and 1994.

AFA is Action Figure Authority, that provide the dubious and unbelievably subjective service of "grading" action figures.

Yup, missed that part. Then there's MOMC (Mint on Mint Card) and MIB (Mint in Box)

Don't forget Lmc ( loose mint complete) and vhtf (very hard to find ) . I'm with meddatron all of my stuff is lmpc (loose missing parts and customized) basically worthless. Someone needs to do a flava flav style parody called AFA is a joke. Instead of having an oversized clock hanging from a chain around their neck they have an action figure in a clear plexiglass prison.

I'm in the belief that toys should be opened but you honestly should have sold it and make some good cash and give it to somebody who would wank over afa carded shit.

Well, I have probably 1000+ ARAH figures that are completely free from packaging. But my moc collection is just for nostalgia purposes, not to lord them over someone else trying to prove that my collection is better than anyone else's. I have nothing to prove or over-compensate for.

MW, I thought about selling it, but it took forever to find a tolerable MOC swivel-arm officer, AFA or not, and I didn't feel like searching for a replacement. A lot easier to just open that b!#ch. ;)

I hear ya man. You would have probably had to go through ebay or HT to sell it anyway and that would have caused headaches

I have a strong dislike for AFA, but I do understand the thought process and desire that goes into collecting MOC. That said, I don't care in the least what people do with their own collection. Whether it's opening sealed figures, destroying figures, etc.
