Hey guy's just need some advice from the fig customizers here.
I had a Captain America from somewhere that had a swivel neck. I got the figure from a use toy store for my son. He didn't like it much so I riped it apart to use parts and pieces. The swivel neck was something I'd like to use as a sniper neck one day, but I've found it so cool I want more of these figs or one's like it. What line are they from and where can I get some. I want to put them on ALL my figs if I can....

This is the Captain A. (or whats left of him)

This is the result of installing the neck....

again I'm not the figure customizer like most of you here...but I think the results are cool. He can lay down anywhere and snipe.

Marvel Universe Commander Rogers, you can get them pretty cheap loose from some Chinese ebay sellers.

There a quite a few characters that use that body. Comic Pack Daredevil(kind of rare), New-er Punisher, I believe white spiderman and a couple other new-ish guys also have that neck(Tron looking Ironman).

^^^ that, and there are a few more with those necks... Dark Magneto, Ghost Rider (same torsos) actually have smaller diameter necks (She Hulk has even smaller). The Roger's, Namor's, DD, Bull's Eye, etc share the same thicker neck pieces. I mention this because in certain applications, the smaller one will fit/look better.

The Tron IM and the older Modular? IM have good necks, but will have to be trimmed a little (armor).

I just assumed people were aware of using the MU necks, so I personally never bothered doing a tutorial.

If I can get around to it, maybe this weekend, I'll throw something together.

I wish there would have been a tutorial for me. I just happend last night to be working on him and I must have cut to deeply to get his(Ultimate Flint) vest off and...pop goes his head and neck. Then I rememberd that neck from CpA and made it fit and walla.
Actually Obi, a tutorial on those dual joint elbows would be cool too.
Thanks guy's for the input and I'll keep my eye's open for those figs.

Cyclops uses the double neck also...it's great for figures that fly so they can look straight ahead when "flying"...

I did this with my Lowlight and Footloose it really does make a huge difference. For both figures I used an exacto knife to cut off the existing neck then I dremeled out the collar of he shirt and trimmed the replacement neck to fit in the collar. A little super glue and it was a fine deal.

Tried to do this lat night, put a punisher neck onto a retaliation flint (ultimate) body, Ended up slipping the scalpel into my left index finger, fucking hurt man.

And the custom didn't even work, the glue just won't hold the neck :(

Ok uber customizers out there...dafuq kind of super glue are you using to hold your customs together? I bought a head from Stocos and the pony tail is broke and wont stay on. I've tried gorilla super glue and krazy glue and neither one have held it. Slight touch the next day and it falls off.

Similar to doing a sniper neck. I have the Cap figure to provide a neck donation, but what glue should I use to make sure that thing stays in place so I can "play" with the figure for posing and dios? If I do the neck transplant, he's not going to be a toy my kids play with...but I'd rather not have it fall off at the slightest pose.

I use Loc-Tite Gel. It doesn't run all over, and gives you a little time to get your piece in place.

I thought the Gorilla super Glue would be awesome considering how well the normal glue works, but it doesn't setup very fast...

I'll have to pick these suggestions up and give them a try.

Thanks guys.

Loc-Tite, but I'm thinking of making the switch to two-part epoxies.

Surprisingly so. Did it on my aborted Lowlight custom.

I recently used ProWeld for the first time. I needed to attach a SW Battlefront Trooper's bazooka-ma-thingy to the underside of a Crab Droid and I needed it done fast. Superglue didn't hold the pieces together, so I gave ProWeld a try. Aligned the parts, brushed on some ProWeld in the connecting seams, held it in place for 10 seconds and presto!

On topic: that's an awesome neck post. I believe I saw a retooled shoulder joint used in the same manner quite a while ago.
