Some more painted commissions head casts... the first one is supposed to be Bruce Willis from "Tears of the Sun" but I couldn't find a reference pic of him with his camo face paint which the client wanted, so I just kinda winged it... the chick is Maria Hill from S.H.I.E.L.D.

I designed it so that hopefully the carry handle and the bipod rotate on the barrel. The bullets are only for show right now.

The Island of Misfit Projects!

I know this here lion is Asian in design, but I think if I pinned it to the mannica-clad arm Vortious does for his God of War kit I'll be good-to-go on sprucing up my Hercules.

Got to see if Vortious will sell me just the arm. I don't need the other stuff.

I'm thinking I should harvest Vietnam Lowlight's legs for use on WWII Capt. A.

So, any thoughts on replacing the knees on the Shock Trooper legs? I'd like something plain.

I know. I was thinking the RoC Heavy Dooty ones would work, and then I could kind of mimic the M42 jump trousers.

But that would mean parting out my perfectly good HD.

I have the K-Mart (desert) one. Now that I look at it, I could probably use the thighs, too. Chop off the boots and add a set of gaiter-clad ones in their place.

I generally get annoyed by all the figures having kneepads lately, until I finally need a figure that actually HAS them… Go figure.

I need some lower legs with bloused pants/boots, but with knee pads that are bigger than the removable SE ones that are on all the figures lately. I'm trying to mate them to Wave 2 Ret. Firefly upper legs (http://www.yojoe.com/action/13/firefly25.shtml) so that I can make an updated Scrap-Iron. The problem with those uppers is that they are made for the reduced-articulation lowers, and seem to have more bend in the front, so the lower legs I wanted to use wound up being double jointed…

I finally got back around to some customs after over a year hiatus, mainly due to Fogger pestering me to finally paint some heads he sent me back in September. Haha. :)

Here's the Retaliation Timber I repainted while I let his paint dry.

Timber looks good man...what I couldn't make out earlier that I wanted to see larger was the gums...stupid detail to notice, but I think they look nice...

I have been working on a 3-pack gift set for my brother-in-law. He retires from the Marines after 30 years next month. Taking the family on a 18 hour drive to North Carolina to celebrate with him. I have one figure of him from when he first was in and was in artillery, on figure of him when he was a DI at Parris Island (which is when I met him) and one of him now. I am planning on a shadow box to put them in...I have some WIP pics I could post if anyone is interested...all 3 still have a few things to finish up and pics are from my phone....

WIP Daryl Dixon for Monsieur Fogg. I still have to do quite a bit, edging out the hairline to clean it up some, maybe redoing the brows, hair highlights, pupils… But you should get a good idea. I'm going to need to buy this sculpt myself, it's pretty awesome. I just hope when I'm done it still looks like The Man.

And finally got around to replacing those stupid tiny lower legs on the FSS Tollbooth. I'd still like to replace his lower arms with something else, but for the time being the proportions are at least not too comical.

Ok - here they are...

Artillery close to 30 years ago - still need to add mountain howitzer

DI about 15 years ago - still need Slaughter DI cover. the only pics I have of him during this time are in more dress uni's...so I went with what he was wearing on the drill field when I met him

Last deployment to Okinowa - still need to paint cover.

OK - let me know what you think...

They look fantastic so far. That forest Camo came out sweet. He should be a very happy man, what a cool suprise!

Man, that whole figure just needs a few paint changes and a different head and you have an easy Predator Dutch.

Too bad that figure goes for mad cow on the secondary.

Ya know, that's actually a really good idea. I have a TJ cast of Dutch, and the figure. Probably replace the legs and lower arms. Orrr I could just stick with my neca one.

Looking at eBay completed auctions - consistently seeing both the Kmart exclusive and the regular one for less than $10. Maybe DSB was thinking of another fig?

You have the version that has the brace on the one arm?

You're shittin' me?

I seem to recall looking for him on eBay because I thought he was perfect for making an LBC of Dutch, and all the auctions were going $20+ at the time.
