First time using my phone for the pictures. Has more megapixels than my effin' camera.
Nice shot, but the number of megapixels isn't all that it's cracked up to be
Not bad, considering it's a damned phone. My point-and-shoot ($400 or so at the time I bought it) is now about 7-8 years old (doesn't seem like it's been that long) and I'm considering replacing it with a DSLR of my own because I've not used the p&s much over the past 2 years except for SDCC, and the only reason is because my phone kept filling up and the flash is better on the p&s. I've got an iPhone 5, now, though, and it seems to take photos almost on par with my old camera.
I think eventually the categories will just merge (smart phones and p&s cameras), or point-and-shoots will turn into mini-DSLRs. They may already be there, I need to do some research on cameras. That's probably my next big purchase for devices.

True. My old Nokia N8 had a 12MP camera (with Carl Zeiss lens) that took great quality photos, even better than my 14.2MP Samsung point-and shoot.
My newer phone (Sony Xperia Z) has a 13MP camera and the shots are grainy as fuck.
I was curious if it would do a decent macro type shot. Not too bad but it still does not really replace an actual camera. Transferring files is less of a pain thogh as I just put it in drop box and then did what I needed on the computer.

I've said it for years man. As soon as a phone comes out with a DSLR on the back, I'll gladly make the move up.
It's the little things, I notice them at times.
Sometimes I can turn it off, otherwise I'd be getting in nerd fights over the fact that less than 1 percent of women in the world might be able to hack it at infantry, much less Tier 1 SpecOps teams. :trollface:

Thanks! just pulled that out of storage, it was the base from the 1st Marvel Legends Captain America, it was way too small for him, but it's damn near perfectly in scale for 1:18 stuff.
