He has those weird ones, that look like lasers on top of rectangles. He doesn't have the built in ones like the other 2 guys, though. He just has these blue pegs that fold out, then you connect the lasers onto it.

Well, I pre-ordered only because BBTS sometimes goes up on the price if there is very strong demand. I just wanted to lock in the best price.

I assume this is the blue diaclone version from the '84 catalog/packaging. If so, that's awesome. If not, I'll cancel the order and nothing lost. I suspect they are just trying to get this obvious repaint out before the chinese KO-ers beat them to it.

It's funny, they will have produced two version of this character, neither one matching the actual G1 toy that 99% of us had as kids, just catalogs and package art.
Heh as a kid I was disappointed mine didn't look like the cartoon version with the black hood(carbon fiber).
He was one of my 1st Transformers bought at a hardware store (Coast to Coast) by my grandmother. One of the many toys she bought me.
I'd wager we will see the regular version as Silverstreak at TRU this fall. ;)

Oh, I agree that we'll get one, no doubt. But it just seems funny that we've gotten two decos and neither actually matches the G1 toy. That wouldn't happen with any other character.

Like you, it bugged me that I didn't have the black hood like the toon, and similarly, it bugged me more that mine wasn't blue like the catalog... because his name was BLUEstreak. My ten year old brain thought that he should be blue like the included pamphlet. And with no internet back then, I always wondered if there was a blue version that I'd simply never run across in the store, or if mine was some kind of rare defect. Confusion abounded.

- Seekers to US... maybe. I have the orange igear seeker, which seems more like Sunstorm should look than the gradient yellow HasTak deco. I never understood that choice.

- Generations Jetfire - that's really neat. I cherry pick generations figures at this point, but that would definitely make the cut.

- I'll take a non-transforming Alpha Trion and a giant Unicron head. The head has been rumored for over a year now.

- No, that Sega thing looks awful.

Okay, that Prime the Unicron is next to HUGE!...so that means the Unicron is super duper crazy HUUUUGE!!

That Jetfire...hmm, maybe...what size are generations figures?

I had no need for Acid Storm. So I don't need Sunstorm either. Those characters never were F-15's in the original cartoon. I would have liked a new Skywarp or Starscream instead.
I bet he will warm the shelves just like Acid Storm is doing here.

The movie figures get more insect-like with every iteration. They are no longer even bay-formers. They are bug-formers.

Out of the first three films' worth of toys, I think I bought one figure, some WM exclusive homage to the Gobot, Crasher. Beyond that, they have no place in my collection.

Gee-Wun, muthaf*#$ers!!!!!!!!!

The 2nd Leader Prime is a TF everyone should own on shear transformation design alone.

No...because this \/\/\/

Gee-Wun, muthaf*#$ers!!!!!!!!!

But yeah, they become more and more unrecognizable with every successive film...they just look like the scrap metal heaps at a junkyard...take away the colors and they become almost indiscernible from one another...

How had I not seen that?

And hasn't FT shown the stegosaur too? I thought I saw it the other day in a Scoria thread. I know there's another 3rd party stegosaur and 2 Swoops, but I want the FT ones.

You must be thinking of Gigapower Snarl.

http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-3rd-party-discussion/976104-gigapower-mp-snarl.html

I'm playing the wait and see game for all these MP dinobots. Scale, cost, and design, as well as convincing myself that I have the money and space to justify picking these up are all going to be important. Dinobots are cool, but they aren't my favorite TFs, as I had a lot of contempt for how stupid they were portrayed. I'm just not sure I need five giant morons @ $200/ea on my MP autobot shelf.

As for Bii, he was widely ignored b/c Hasbro had already announced the official BB and cockblocked this little guy before he came out. I've heard some good things, but I think most of the MP collector community is at least waiting to see full pics of the HasTak version before choosing sides.

Sort of… I saw in the Scoria thread that (daliajj? sp?) had said they were working on a Snarl, too. But the one I saw a pic of was that one (I remember the discussion about his missing feet), but for some reason I thought that FT had already shown pics. They just mentioned it was being worked on.

So what's the scale of that new Snarl and the other 3P Swoop? Scaled to MP-08, or MP-10/FT-Slag?
