I hope Low Light has better pose-ability this time. Hey didn't you say that these won't be in the show room? Why? What's the point of that? Are they going to be displayed anywhere? Are there going to be any pictures of these from Toy Fair at all?
As long as that Gung-Ho is released, then those are the major players from the Vault that I wanted to see (excited about a replacement Hawk, the 25th one blows now).
I'd like to replace my 25th Gung-Ho, Leatherneck, and POC Hawk figures. I kind of like the POC Hawk but he does look a bit young to be the Joes overall leader.
Apparently they're going to release official pictures but not show anything. Might not see them on display till Joecon.
Press pics are fine by me. They always pose show figures weird with globs of hot glue all over them, and there's usually some fat dorky goober in the way, anyways.

Yeah, I didn't repeat anything that we've gotten already. But I'll gladly take more Vipers and Blueshirts so long as they use the 30th construction or better. Cobra Officer and Heat-Viper are both welcome additions, as well as the new Eel, which I plan to use as an updated Torpedo first, then as proper Eels if I can scrounge up enough.
They probably don't have anything to really show. They weren't prepared is my guess.
So it appears that we are getting the concept vault with the news of Destro, Leatherneck etc. That's cool.
I'll be damned ecstatic if it turns out we're getting a new Duke and Roadblock to go along with the Vault Gung-Ho to round out updated versions of all the original 25th 5-pack figures. Those guys suck now because they've advanced so much in 7 years with sculpting and construction, but GH is probably my most-wanted.
I'm really stoked to hear that we'll finally get that vault Destro and Leatherneck, and Eel. (Well, if they don't cancel/postpone the shit again, that is.)
If we could somehow get an updated Monkeywrench, Falcon and new Frostbite, I think my Sunbow wishlist would be damn near complete, including updated designs from the Vault.
Hopefully Lowlight uses a Shock Trooper body. Then I would be completely satisfied with what's to come. Also, we might be seeing the Concept Flint with the Vamp.

That tells me that they don't even have painted prototypes ready, which is a little lame because Toy Fair is an event where you definitely want your stuff showed off in a cool display. It looks like most of Hasbro's efforts went into making sure all their new Kre-O stuff was ready in time, and that the 3.75" line was an after thought. There also doesn't seem to be all that much new in this line. The Snow Wolf sounds kind of interesting, but a lot of the other items seem to just be repaints. That's not entirely a bad thing, at least this way I have another shot of getting a Night-Viper, but because it's a Toy R' Us exclusive line I might never see that pack because other collectors and scalpers will have nabbed it.
The most exciting prospects from this news is that some figures from the concept vault may just finally get a release. However, it looks like the lineup for the 50th line is still in the infancy of planning, so I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro doesn't get these released until it is time to make another series of movie figures for G.I. Joe 3. Some of them may actually get tagged onto the final waves of the movie line just like Quinn, the Data Viper, and the sun bow versions of CC and SS.
In other words, this news isn't really indicative of much because plans will probably change.

What? Press pics are usually of hand-painted prototypes, so they have to exist. I highly doubt that the 4" figures are a big push for retailers (or customers) since they've been relegated to TRU exclusives, so I can see why they wouldn't show them at Toy Fair, to be honest. Their big target for that ARAH-based shit is the JoeCon fan, where they'll likely first debut them in-person for folks to see, plus some extras that we haven't seen pics of.
Anything movie-geared, which we're well past for Retaliation and not even on the radar for a 3rd film, would make more sense to showcase at the retailer show.
Also, yeah, the Cobra Wolf with Ice-Viper is cool. The Ice-Viper is one of the few Vipers from the earlier years we're still missing, and that vehicle was one I'd be cool in getting. They usually tend to do "Versus" ones (meaning a pair of vehicles for an environment to face off against each other), so I wonder if there's a chance to use the Snow Cat again and repaint it with a proper Frostbite this time around?

So much freaking fail. Eel without the Ultimate SE body? Another freaking PoC SE in arctic gear?
Nope. Neither is Hawk or Blowtorch. Half this line they just repackaged crap that never moved.
Dammit, straight reissues for a lot of those. The Hawk is disappointing, but cool for those that wanted the POC one and couldn't get him. Vault LJ paired with the 5-pack Baroness that everyone has (they should've used a modded version of the SDCC one without the mic just to make her different), plus that POC Blowtorch with the HEAT Viper… Should have used either the green/tan Blowtorch, or given us the Vault BBQ. Snowjob and the BAT are a pass, Ice-Viper and Snow Wolf are cool, but that Flint is a little weird. I never liked the Vault version, and I'm not sure why everyone was so gaga over it. It's completely wrong construction for Flint with that turtleneck and long sleeves.
Yeah, the Beachhead is great. Smart repaint, and one I actually want. Another Trooper is always a good thing, but I'd rather have just gotten another blue Viper or a Stinger Driver repaint of the trooper instead of that lame gray Viper.
Meh, way less excited about them after seeing a bunch of repacks. They couldn't even repaint some of those non-troop-builders to make them different?
Destro and LN are big wins, though. And I like the Heat-Viper, but I'm bummed that I have to get a fucking Blowtorch for everyone I get.
