I may be one of the few people here who is mostly happy with what they showed. Would like to have seen the rest of the concept stuff (SS, GH) but overall it could've been a lot worse.

Yup!

I still like the show, laugh track or not.

I had to look it up. It's a "laugh track" but instead of pretaped laughter from somewhere else, they use their own audience's pretaped laughter.

Still, I much prefer that to a lot of shows that have the canned laugh track that sounds the same for each punchline.

Well, being a fan of "Big Bang Theory" I can see how you'd be satisfied with damn near anything.

In all seriousness, we got some cool stuff. And some good reissues (except for Blowtorch… that's the biggest headscratcher. Did ANYONE want that fucking figure AGAIN?).

It's just a shame with the assortments that you're forced to buy something that's nowhere near new to get something that is actually "new", but feels old because they cock-teased us with it almost a year ago and then told us we couldn't have it.

So yeah, we're getting some stuff I consider "must have" like Destro and Leatherneck, and there are some okay updates like the LJ (and I guess Flint, although I don't get why he's so loved because the long sleeves and weird collar kill it for me) and newbies like the Ice Viper (he's the only new guy I can actually think of we haven't seen before?). And then we've got some great POC reissues like that Hawk, Low-Light, and Cobra Trooper… But then some shit that's been goofed up, like the Night Landing Eel or things nobody was even asking for, like the basically-reissued POC Snow Job and B.A.T. I love the B.A.T., but goddamn, let's leave that one alone now, can we?

If they want to stay on the BAT kick, they should at least do Overkill.

I think what they did with the Cobra Island set was cool. New chest plate option, alternate head, new backpack. Even the jungle B.A.T. seemed a little cool, but was badly distributed. But just repainting him is getting old, even though that's one of my favorite figures from the 25th line.

If they did a B.A.T. with new arm weapons or some sort of head-modification (like a knight-vision version, or telecomm-boosting version, or even DIFFERENT battle-damaged head), or attempted the V2, or did Overkill… Yeah, that'd be awesome. But it's the same thing now, and we've gotten it in like 6 or so decos now. They're starting to turn Rainbow Brigade.

They also jack up the decibels to obnoxious levels. Several times it will play the exact same laugh track 3-4 times in a row.

Look up the show on Youtube sometime. People have gone and edited out the laugh track and the ridiculous long pauses are kinda funny :)

GJ's is reporting that the MKII with regular Flint is the SDCC Exclusive

If that's the case, then thankfully I'm going to SDCC, because I sure as shit wouldn't attempt to pay the prices to get that figure. He's lackluster as fuck unless they change those arms and torso. Mouse arms are great, but put them on Duke, not Flint.

I'll pay for one to give away to the site again. Not sure I'll keep one for me. Based on teh price that will be, it won't be worth it.

Same...I didn't jump in until it was in syndication though...when there was nothing else on, I figured, eh, may as watch something "new"...then I got hooked and now I DVR the new episodes...

... But just repainting him is getting old, even though that's one of my favorite figures from the 25th line...

I feel the same way, and it is my favorite 25th figure...BAT was my fave figure when I a kid, and it still is now...but the repaints are laaaaaaaame...I'd rather, like you said, just get regular BATs with new attachments...even super battle damaged ones with blown off limbs, or broken in two...

HT is mentioning a two-pack of Cobra Trooper with Cobra Officer that I didn't see - those could be decent army builders if the deco is good.

that was reported during the Hasbro presentation by multiple sources but Hasbro hasn't released any photos of the set.

HT has the high-res pics up without crappy Facebook compression. Must've gotten a press packet from Hasbro. I'm sure General's Joes will have 'em, too.

My TRU's are pretty decent around me so when the time comes if you need assistance getting the sets that you want, give me a shout.

You're so kindly, thank you for the chance. =)

Well...looking at the photos with fresh eyes and mind:
The POC repacks - defintely will be good for the ones who missed it.
The vaults figures - is a win. There will be a battle for them - just belive me)

I think the best pack for now - the cobra trooper and officer. Many were asking for troop builders..so here it is. I hope the colours won't dissapoint us.

And this is the only bright side of the 50th.
As I said - I don't like it. Sorry guys.
But I will try to get Leatherneck. Flint as was said before - the SDCC exlusive..So...I'll try maybe the grey one and the red NV - to repaint them...who knows.
Now two main questions are left: when..and how much.

The press release photos are absolutely baffling and make no sense!

So some of the vault figures I wanted to get might make it to a shelf 75 miles north of my home. Ok, well that's fine, but why are some of these figures reissues from POC?! Low Light's POC figure sucks because he can't hold his damn rifle in a proper sniping pose, and POC Hawk is no better! Why the hell are we getting Blow-Torch again?! Couldn't they have reissued Shadow Tracker instead? Or about reissuing some figures that got poor distribution at the tail end of Retaliation? Why are some figures arbitrarily repainted while others are just reissued? The Cobra Trooper isn't repainted but the viper is! Furthermore, the Night Viper is painted in an ugly black and red scheme while Low Light remains the same! Why?! Why not just paint him black and green?! Do we really need Snow Job again? Why does the useless robot have digital camo but no other figure does? Why is the "Vamp MK II" the classic style one rather than the newer model that can hold more action figures while accomplishing the same action gimmick? Why is Leather Neck there but not Gung-Ho? Why are some figures modern representations of old ARAH designs while others are not?

This new line up is extremely inconsistent and me leaves puzzled. Who was in charge of this? How did Hasbro come to this decision making? By throwing darts at random ideas on a wall? I don't understand. Did they let an alien robot possessed by an ancient demon spirit that is utterly ignorant of human customs and culture decide how this was going to go down? This is not to say that I absolutely hate this line, it just doesn't make any since and that bothers the hell out of me. At least it leaves me more confused than absolutely pissed like the Retaliation press release did.

Furthermore, the fact that Gung-Ho isn't there can only mean bad news. Either he isn't getting released, or he's going to be some dumb convention exclusive that costs too damn much. There's plenty of events coming up and I bet that if he is available he'll be either a Joecon exclusive or a SDCC exclusive, or something like that.

At least the stupid vehicle drivers actually have articulation this time!

If they were gonna do that tosser it should have been RADICAL EXTREME 1990S! Death's Head II.

I may be one of the few people here who is mostly happy with what they showed. Would like to have seen the rest of the concept stuff (SS, GH) but overall it could've been a lot worse.

I think the disappointment is that none of it's new. It's all stuff we've had or seen, or repaints there of. I know I was hoping for an ME recreation of the 1994 30th Anniversary set, or SOMETHING that we haven't been aware of.

Meanwhile, the 3 3/4 inch Black series continues too with two new clones based on the final Clone Wars season plus R5-G19 and an upgraded Hoth Luke Skywalker.
