Seeing the $80 price tag on the Lost Planet mech has destroyed these for me.

Edit: And then my dumbass goes and buys a $250 game and statue of a static mech. :headinsand:

Almost done reviewing the MK 2. There is a ton of detail and movable parts to it. Hope to have it all posted with a ton of pictures by tomorrow.

They really paid attention to detail. There is even a diorama sheet it comes with that has posters and letters you can cut out. I was not really a fan until I put it in mech mode. The figures and mech have a ton of poses.

Got my Speeder today....

Two more....

Most impressed with the paper items. Very reminiscent of a short-lived line of hyper-accessorized 1:6 WWII figures.

The paper items were a nice surprise. The fact that they even thought to put those in there shows how much they are paying attention to detail I felt.

Not gonna shell out that kind of money just for a sheet of paper accessories, though. :D

I hear ya'. I will say, if I was going to drop good money on an item this line would be the front runner for me currently. Out of the stuff that is available in this scale at least. They did a good job on the detail and execution of bringing the idea to plastic.

Can't argue with that. My objections are purely design aesthetic in nature.

Awsome vehicle. One of the most I like from this series.

Can someone show us how the paper items looks assembeled? =)

Interesting buggy but I would think it puts the operator in more harm than what it could do on the offensive.

Where'd did you find those photos, KT? Very cool looking, but got to agree with MB that the driver's head is a prime target.

Maybe an armor plate added to the front would help a little.

The buggy has the same problem.

JoeCustoms. I couldn't find them on any of the Acid Rain sites I know about.

Yea. The coverage could be better by far. The buggy at least has center mass covered ok but there is plenty of openings to take a hit especially from the side. I am assuming that they are moving fast so it is a tougher target.

Even if the plate took the hit, the pilot would still be peppered with shrapnel and spall. Large caliber and anti-armor weapons would most certainly be incapacitating even if they weren't direct hits.

From a practicality standpoint, these things are garbage. That's not the point, though. They're supposed to be cool toys, and at that they succeed splendidly.

I know. I just look to deep into design sometimes.

Kind of like a rivet counter? :D

It's fair. I do it to Joe vehicles. The engine on the F.A.N.G. could never spool up enough power to lift that payload, but does anyone care? :D

Are you suggesting that its not realistic or safe for 2 or more people to ride on the back bumper of any Joe vehicle (especially if that vehicle had large rocket attachments they would burn the operator/occupants to death?)
