I don't think it'll look as bad with the final product.. but we'll see. I'm not happy with how it looks right now, but I see it as a step in the right direction.

This is the first figure to sport a swivel shoulder that doesn't look like a cannonball. Not liking the double elbow setup with the giant pegs. The interchangeable hands is a nice touch though.

That blue thing with Yoda is the backpack.

Back to Luke, I think he's a great resource for fodder. That is probably pretty close to what the production figure looks like, save for the fitment of that shoulder, which I don't believe is plugged in all the way.

They're not a segment of the collecting community acquainted with articulation that doesn't suck.

Let me explain SW fan = negative comments Those poor bastards lost their sanity years ago.

If you'd been buying the same characters over and over again for the last 20 years you'd have lost your marbles, too.

QFT. Rebelscum is a swirling vortex of hate and negativity. They demand screen accuracy and yet want super articulation. But when they get SA figures they bitch how awful and non-screen accurate they are.

This figure is probably the most hated among the new figures. Once it hits, SW fans will be buying him up. Luckily all these new figures are 2 per case.

I like this Luke. Bring on new articulation. I want my Dagobah training Luke to do a one handed handstand (with the help of a display stand) on my vintage Kenner Dagobah playset.

^^^ That's the spirit.

Now if only Luke had the MU neck hinge we could get some sweet, sweet prone shooting poses.

Double knees would have been nice, but it's not a deal beaker.

Last time I was at Toy Fair (which was a few years back), I asked Daryl DePriest about the lack of articulation on the Star Wars line and he basically told me that with that line, they got for a more pleasing aesthetic look more than playability. With the GI Joe and Marvel lines, they went for the articulation.

Funny, Jedi are the ninjas of Star Wars, shouldn't they have figures that move like it?

I was planning on pre-ordering this entire wave, but after seeing these and other pics of Luke and Yoda, I'll just pre-order a couple of those Snowtrooper Commanders.

I'm not interested in Torynn Farr, Dak or Bastila Shan.

I preordered 2 of these, hoping they look better in hand as the Acid Rain figures did, usually wen everyone hates a figure like this they go through the roof, won't be able to find them on any pegs I think..
