I see what you are doing...push pin out of elbow...separate lower from upper. put in shoulder pin thingy and put pin back in. Cut the upper middle piece away and drill a hole for the pin of the newly added shoulder pin thingy and reassemble. Brilliant! I get it now.

I have been just been doing this to my MIB figures:

Cut the upper middle piece away and drill a hole for the pin - connect Black DG lower arms...

Are you heating up the upper arm when you put the peg in (not the peg itself)? It makes a huge difference getting the right fit.
.

Yup. I've had no issue with the Wild Bill joint I've replaced the cast ones with.

Haven't looked at my Keaton yet, so...

I wonder if the entire upper arm/shoulder could be swapped with a MU, then pin the Batman lower arms onto that elbow (like above) ?

Exactly what I was planning...though I was gonna add a double elbow one way or the other...

If I had black I would have used them. There isn't exactly the cream of the crop for fodder available on the pegs, either.

I still might change them, though. These worked for showing folks what the mod is.

One thing that bugs the shit out of me about that figure, is that Keaton's Batman head looks gigantic, or his neck is too small, on that figure.

The neck goes straight up from the shoulders to the head.

That's called "having a ball/socket articulated head". If it were a simple L/R swivel head, they could have made the sculpt more accurate.

Now the ears are more of a concern of mine... waaay too thick.

They could've done a better job on the sculpt than they did and still retained a ball socket neck joint. It's like his jaw is too wide, too. The profile simply looks strange.

Since my ARW / PTE APC worked well, I started weathering up and painting the Dolls house my misses bought me last year - I think it is going ok, just not sure on hiw to make bullet holes / bomb damage! :/

Need to do the ankles yet on my Batman. Elbows and wrists are done. His original hands have a loose peg holding them in. Both the arm and the hands have peg holes and a peg that is similar to Joe legs/knees pegs holds them together.

No, that's a poorly-rendered pistol, and the hand is even worse. Who the hell drew that?

Bullshit. I know for a fact that Batman fired an air-cooled M1919A4 from the hip against the 14th SS Marines at Iwo Canal!

How about instead of "On the Workbench" it's just... the workbench. I just finished (I think) remodeling my home studio. More pics and info on my FB page:

A project I have been working on for a bit. It is made in several pieces and will have 2 bases - one mount fits GI Joe Armadillo and Ninja Combat Cruiser and the other fits the PTE and BBI Humvee. Or you can just add the tub only to the GI Joe Humvees. The front armor is a separate piece than can be left off if desired...

Hoping to get this finished up this week and mailed to Jesse for casting.
Plan is to cast in clear - then the customer simply masks the windows and paints the desired color.

Started on my Keaton Batman complete make-over, using a MU buck. Will require sculpting and new (better) cape. Pix when get a chance.

Completely possible. Getting working sliding doors may take some trial and error, but it's defintely doable.

Not by a talentless hack like myself, but others could do it. :D

Actually, the more I think about it, fully sealing it like a '46, with a forward crew door makes more sense. But that's a lot of fabrication.

I've seen at least one THawk closed up, and it looks pretty good.
