Anybody still collecting SW on here?

Dorkside Toys has these up for pre-order. Individual figures. I'm guess when BBTS has them, they'll be by the case only. Should be 2 per case.

The worst part about the scarcity of the new figures, has been all of the bottom feeding scalpers that have come out of the woodwork again in force. So I really have next to no hope of ever seeing these at retail....... and Hasbro well they just don't care.

I wonder how much of that vitriol was stupid fanboy bitching about a joint style they don't like and how much was because it was actually shitty?

From that guy. None. He's collected everything from SW to Joes, to MU. He knows the pros and cons of articulation. What works and what doesn't. He's pretty non biased when it comes to his reviews as well. I've known him for a long time now, and if he doesn't like a an aspect of a figure, he won't let it mire his entire thought on it.

I think that maybe they should have pulled someone over from the MU line to help with the double elbow.

As he said in the review, the Con sample made an attempt at lessening the extreme look of the joint. I wonder what the hell went wrong.

The arms look a bit too long...but that same problem was evident in the ceremonial Luke from this same line.

And the paint apps on the eyes make him look like Pat Benatar.

People ragged on the prototype at Toy Fair. Bet that wish they had that figure now rather than what Hasbro actually produced.

Is his right leg on backwards? (2 left legs?) or did they decide to change it out for a no pocket pant leg.

does the leg joint allow for it to be swiveled that way, and Box just did it for the pic like he did the arm?

In the pic that KT posted, the leg is backwards because that's what it took to make him stand properly for more than ten seconds. The arm was unintentional.

Thanks, so the leg hip/thigh joint peg goes verticle into the torso. I like that. I'm actually eyeballing this figure as a possible base to a version of Robin and the hands will go on Superman if not too small. If too small than a female will get the hands.

Thanks Dre

Fred Azcon, formerly of Hasbro and now with BFS, said this on FB about the Luke figure," I sculpted the handstand hands back in Hasbro. I don't remember who the original sculptor was, but I remember thinking those are the best looking double elbows I've ever seen in any scale, how's the factory gonna pull that off?. It's a shame he ended up like this. It looks like they enlarged the disks and pegs to fit their standard manufacturing requirements, thus making them look longer, and in the process, obliterating the detail on the arms."

I feel ya. I hit K-Mart looking for the DC Multiverse Reeves Superman and saw they restocked the SW figures ... with wave 1 Black Series. Ugh. Luckily I pre-order everything now so finding something at retail is more of a surprise than a series of disappointments.
