Bandai's Spru kits are showing up on Target's website for $20 each. The descriptions all say they are 5" though. I thought these were supposed to be 4"? Can anyone do a comparison picture next to a regular 4" figure?

According to Bandai's press release from TF the Batmen and Superman were for series 2 and series 1...

Series 1 is the 4" figures
About 30 minutes to assemble and consists of 30-40 pieces that create a 4-inch figure with detailed sculpting and features. Just snap the pieces together; no glue, paint or tools are required. Figures include the New 52 Batman, The Dark Knight Rises Batman, New 52 Superman, and the Original Comic The Joker. The LBX series will offer Achilles, Deqoo, and Hunter.

Series 2 is the 5" figures
These kits give 60-90 minutes of assembly enjoyment to create a 5-inch figure consisting of 70-90+pieces! With enhanced detail and increased action poseability, Level 2 kits deliver a figure with articulation and detail not found in traditional action figures. Series 1 figures will include The Dark Knight Rises Batman, Batman: Arkham City Batman, Man of Steel Superman, The Master Chief, Spartan Gabriel Thorne and Commander Sarah Palmer of the Halo franchise, as well as LBX characters Achilles, Deqoo, The Emperor and Hunter.

The 4" ones are just a boring gimmick, but the 5" ones look pretty interesting.

Wife said that Target has stocked Multiverse again. They were fully stocked with the Zod, Unmasked Bats, Masked Bats wave. She said they had about 20 figures on the shelves. They were 8.99 she said. Hopefully they get the Reeves wave. After my TRU purchase of that wave at 14.99, I haven't seen them again or any at TRU.

Wonder if Wally will put these on the pegs or just leave those Zods and Batmangs there forever?

While we're on the topic, I think we've exhausted all the good Batmovie figure options. Nicholson Joker isn't going to happen, and do we really want to relive & Robin and Forever?

Though Uma's Poison Ivy might be an alright figure.

I hope the new ones start showing up in stores soonish. I never did see a Catwoman or Superman... I really like the Scarecrow and Two-face. Batman looks better than the first release, Red Hood and Robin are meh.

They are all up for sale on Amazon for $20-$25 each...

Entertainment Earth has case purchases available too. Odd, Robin is not in them.

edit - Boy, there sure is enough Multiverse stuff now and DC movies and TV that maybe DC Universe needs it own place on the site. :D

While I was reading your first paragraph, I was thinking what about Uma. I want her. I actually would buy a Carrey Nigma too.

Are you not including the Nolan films? There are some good characters there. I'd like to see:
Ledger Joker
League of Shadows Batman
Bane
Scarecrow
Fox
Alfred
2 face
and maybe one regular Batman (not sure if his suit changed through the 3 movies)

I would really like to see some Arrow figures though. I'm really hoping they add those characters to this line.

Seems so far its classic movies (probably cause of licensing) and Arkham only. I want them to do the rest of the DC core hero's and villains. I want a good Zoom so bad and Wonder Woman. Linda Carter!!!

In a perfect world they would do all of the members of the Superfriends and Legion of Doom too. I would be drooling over that in this scale.

Dunno if I'd buy that one. I'd have to see what they proposed to do.

Something tells me we won't see Nolanverse figures. Especially when I can still walk into Big Lots and buy those shitty figures.

Linda Carter Wonder Woman, definitely. Might even be up for '66 Series figures. I would have preferred those to be 4" in the first place.

In a perfect world, the line would have MUCH better articulation, similar to MU...I mean, no feet/ankle articulation? Really Mattel? Really? And what's with that sh!tty thigh cut? :grumpy:

Hoping for MU articulation is asking WAY too much of Mattel. Baby steps, Eddie, baby step. ;)

This is the description for the line from EE.
Celebrating Batman video games and classic DC Comics movies
And so far that is all we have seen figure wise. I hope it branches out to more and its just the case description for earlier waves. I really don't know. But going by what we have seen, it is accurate so far. Keeping my fingers crossed. The line is called Multiverse so they could branch out anywhere.

'66 all day long. I would recreate so many campy scenes in the same way they did it. Would be so much fun. Got to do them going up the side of a building.

The perfect figure trio for me would be the latest Reeves Superman, with Carter WW, and West Batman. They would stand front and center in my DC collection. Those 3 were huge for me as a kid.

Which makes me wonder why MU has never done a Ferigno Hulk. I would hunt him down as well for sure. He IS the Hulk to me.

Well, Damn. I guess that rules out Arrow & Flash for now. I'm hoping when the Superman v Batman movie comes out they do them more in this style rather than the crappy figures they made for the Batman, Superman, and GL movies.

lol, I meant last one I remember in general. When Owlman was so small I never bothered to look again at another one that came with something. Not to mention Hollywood video closed, and with it my managers job and easy access to all of them.
