Blade, Punisher, and Ghost Rider return to Marvel

Marvel got the rights back and now there is a rumor of Blade 4.

A new rumor suggests Wesley Snipes is returning as badass vampire hunter Blade for the fourth movie in the series.

According to The New York Daily News, the comeback is "looking good," and Snipes will make $3 million from the role.

The rumor is a little shaky. Snipes has previously talked up his interest of returning as Blade, however he's not the bankable actor he once was when he debuted the role in 1998. Snipes was released from prison in 2013 after spending two and a half years locked up for tax evasion, and his first post-prison appearance was in The Expendables 3, a flop at the box office.

In this week's issue of Entertainment Weekly, Marvel movie head honcho Kevin Feige casually dropped the news that the movie rights for the Punisher, Blade and Ghost Rider have returned to Marvel. Awesome.

Feige indicates he's in no rush to make new movies for the characters, partially because Marvel has enough on their plate, and partially because no one's really clamoring for the return of these characters thanks to their lackluster original movies (with the exception of Blade II). Add these guys to Daredevil, who Marvel also recently got back, and the Cinematic Universe got a whole lot more crowded.

It's a shame Marvel still doesn't have Spider-Man and Wolverine back, because we're halfway to the greatest Fantastic Four reboot of all time.

There were even some What Ifs where they stayed the Fantastic Four pretty good stories. I always loved the What If series. That would make for some great one offs for the Cinematic Universe. A little 15-30 minute What If short film about what could have happened if things had gone differently.
