Saw the new snow trooper commander at Target yesterday, but that was it from the newest series, so I suppose they have finally hit my area albeit only at that store so far.

So... All of a sudden I have seven 6" Stormtroopers. Five from DST and two I received today from an eBay seller. Too bad the latter just declared full value on the customs form :(

One of DST's troopers has a faulty ankle joint. It moves from side to side, instead of front to back. Since I live in Holland, I figured I'd contact DST first, instead of Hasbro. In a matter of hours, Teri from customer service solved the issue by confirming shipment of a replacement trooper. Awesome service there.

Not sure how those little scamps got past me the first time. Those mag pouch bandoliers are going to be great for those with the balls to take their Acid Rain figures old school.

I finally got my Prototype armor Boba Fett over the weekend. Went to St Louis and swung by a walgreens in Ferguson as I knew no toy collectors would be around those parts these days. SCORE!

What's the deal with 6" figures, where did the idea for that line come from?

Hasbro finally cottoned on to the idea that 1:12 collectors might actually buy Star Wars figures if they were available. Unfortunately, they did so a bit late. They missed the renaissance by about 7 years.

Think about that. $20 dollar 1:12 figures. I'm not sure what kind of longevity the ML and Black lines are gonna have with those prices.

My guess is the market saturation for the 1:18 figures is so high that Hasbro needed to try to draw in a different market segment.

even 1:18 figures are selling at $20+ for some figures so if done right I don't really see the $20 price as a deal breaker. Even Funko is jumping in the $20 6" figure bandwagon.

The Mezco 1:twelve line seems like more of a deal breaker at $65 then the Legends/Black stuff. But i dislike all 1:12 figures equally so I don't really care either way.

Being able to do something doesn't necessarily mean you should. The Acid Rain figures are over twenty bucks by necessity. No single carded figure Hasbro or Mattel makes, that hangs on the pegs of TrU, Target or Walmart, should be $20 bucks. I don't give a shit how "collectible" they claim it is, it's still mass produced and carried by B&M retailers.

Those damn '66 Batman figures are almost $24 at TrU. I bet the Acid Rain figures would be $5-$10 bucks less if they were available at Target and Wal-Mart.

I'm not even sure the fully articulated 3 3/4" figures should be more than $8.61. Even the crummy Saga Legends figures seem too pricey for what they are. I think Hasbro is trying to compensate for the fact that they have to pay Disney out the ass to keep the licensing to make Star Wars and Marvel products.

Has there been any news on figures coming out next year? I think I saw some images of some clone commanders coming out for the 3 3/4" Black series.

I was going through some old threads on Bantha Skull last week and came across one on KB Toys. One of the last posts was about how they were getting way ahead of everyone with the price going to $9.99 a figure. Little did we know they were just harbingers...

Well everywhere else is a scam then man.

It's bad enough that the price of the figures has wildly increased. but then there's the fact that Hasbro is not enforcing any quality control at all. Every other review on Banthaskull for these newer figures is forced to talk about how the paint is just slopped on the figures with no regard for how it should actually look. Then there's the problem of articulation. They still use t-crotches. Between the paint and the t-crotches, there's no way a collector can justify paying full price for these things!

Hasbro needs to start producing these things at their former quality while also strong arming the retailers to sell the products at a reasonable price.

Starting next year with E7 I am hoping to see a decrease in price due to the yearly releases of movies they have planned. Having a new Star Wars movie will help keep brand awareness up, which usually drives production numbers higher and individual prices slightly lower. The quality still may be disappointing though. We'll have to wait and see.

Gas prices have also lowered (or at least they have in my area, $2.50 per gallon is amazing), so maybe the drop in oil prices will encourage lower production and shipping costs. It's hard to remain optimistic about this stuff though.

Picked up a Dagobagh( my spelling sucks.) Luke, not to bad a figure. Had to work the joints at first, super posable.

I was so excited for that Luke when I saw the toy fair images , but I was a little disappointed after having the figure in hand. There is a problem with the knees and the hip joints that almost completely ruin the figure for me. It is nice that he can actually do a handstand with Yoda balanced on his feet though.

I recently bought a 2002 AOTC Gunship. I love it, except for the chinn guns that fire like rockets, those things should be static and on a ball joint. $32 was a much better price than $120.

SW The Black 6 inch figures have my attention for sure.

Am a fan of the 6 inch Vader and Chewbacca. Just waiting on those 6 inch TIE Fighter pilots and the Target Exclusive Shadow Ops Speeder Bike sets.

Has anyone heard anything about a new release of Shuttle Tydirium in 1:18 scale? That is probably the final Star Wars vehicle that I am hoping for.
