Insurgent Leader: Hajji Al Manjammi

Not overly complicated, but this is my first 1:18 scale custom, aside from a few minor paint aps on some figs and other minor tweaks. I also used to do a lot of GI Joe ARAH era mashups many years ago.

I wrote up what I did to this below the photo...

Insurgent Commander Hajji Al Manjammi

Made from World Peacekeepers (WP) basic green camo figure, cast head (not sure original source), WP vest, Indiana Jones Russian soldier AK with stock and bayonet chopped off, and a piece of cloth taped around his chest (under vest).

Obviously I also painted everything except his legs, which remain the basic WP camo, though I did highlight his boot laces.

The head is Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty. The gold plated Republican Guard AK is a nice touch.

You can order the heads from one of the online casting guys. They are on eBay and usually have their own sites as well.

Have bought Marvel Legends heads from other sellers who have both scales as well. It's cheaper than buying and chopping up a bunch of Duck Dynasty and Indiana Jones, etc, figures.

I just realized it would be really easy to create similar turbans to the Sahara ones by using Green Stuff on pretty much any random head.

Those all look great , I have a bunch of the Indiana jones figures heads cast and ready to be painted and put on the terrorist army I am building yours look great. I may be stealing some if your ideas to diversify my legions of insergents.
