A couple weeks ago TR1ER sent me a marauders assault rifle as a bonus for helping him out with an item he wanted. Around the same time I got another ROC Shockblast 2 pk, and thus the idea was born. I did the paint job to nod back to the original from 1989, I hope you dig it!

Recipe:
Head - POC Shocktrooper
Torso - 50th Lowlight
Upper arms - 50th Lowlight
Lower arms - POC wv. 1 SE
Upper legs - 50th Lowlight w/25th Stalker webgear holster
Lower legs - ROC Shockblast
Hands - 50th Lowlight

Accessories:
BP - Ret. Ult. Firefly
AR - Marauders
Pistol - 25th Stalker
Knife - 50th Lowlight
Gas mask/ Helmet - POC Shocktrooper
Hat - SWG cast
Vest - POC Shocktrooper

Saw this on Facebook last night. I wanted to make some constructive criticism there, but for some reason when I do people take it as bashing a custom.

Overall I really like this figure. The colors are great, as are the parts. It's something I would consider copying for sure.

All that being said, I personally would tweak a couple of things. I would try to dremel the hat a bit more so it sits lower on the head. In addition, I would trim out the inner elbow areas some to get a better range of movement on them, and the inner pectorial area on the torso so the arms can get a tighter grip on the rifle. Something I do on my marauder rifles is remove the trigger guard so the Hasbro sausage finger can get in there better (I know...poor trigger discipline).

Like I said though, really well done. All the accessories really make it what it is.

Cool. I dont take it the wrong way, I mean in all honesty its all in how the crits are presented! Im an art teacher so its what I do on the regular with my students.
Now the hat, I would love to dremel to sit lower, however it is far too thin to do so. I did heat it up and stretch it to get it to where it is now. I agree another half to quarter cm would make all the difference.
I may try to do the elbow and chest mods on future customs, but this one with the gear is about the way I would like it. I do really hate the elbow area of the Lowlight upper arm! They are annoying to put it lightly!

I appreciate the feedback!
