I love the sculpts of the Chap Mei Marines but hate the articulation, vice versa, I hate the PTE sculpts, but the articulation is pretty good. These are a couple of Hybrid Marines I cobbled together using both lines, they need some paint work, but I think they are much improved over their original incarnations. LMK what you think.

Interesting idea (an idea that reminds me of how sparse the military 1:18 industry is these days). I'm curious to see what they'll look like with a custom paint job.

but you are still stuck with the t-crotches :(

Yup, I'd sacrifice the sculptural detail of the Chap Mei parts and go with PTE head, arms, pelvis and legs grafted onto the CM torso.

Even so, the sum is better than the parts.

They were only on shelves for all of 15 minutes. Not that I cared about not seeing them after I found out about the back doors.

Yeah I disassembled (Johnny 5!) mine and never put it back together. No "glass" windows, no back doors, no thank you! the grill and pushbar were nice. The hatch cover was cool too I guess. I liked the size.

I'd put it somewhere below PTE but probably above BBI, I hated their HMMWVs. Tonka Fucking HMMWVs.

taking the full lower torso from the PTE and merging it with the upper torso from the Chap Mei figure would do it, not sure how easy that'd be or if you'd lose the waist joint.

Is there any solutions on this problem?

Only if you see it as a problem. I don't mind the occasional T-Crotch on a figure.

Unfortunately I don't think the Chap Mei have a waist joint, so merging at the waist would require cutting, gluing, and hiding the seam.

Could you drill the details you want from the Chap Mei figure thighs and slip them over the top of a PTE thigh?

Ah yeah, I forgot about that, it's been a while since I've looked at 'em.

I tried to attach the PTE waist to the Chap Mei torso, unfortunately I could not find away to do this that worked.
