So, after finally finishing the Dreadnoks, I figured I needed to make a Joe. I've been wanting to make a better Falcon for awhile now and got Alyosha's Lt. Falcon kit to replace Hasbro's. The kit is awesome and top quality. Thanks, Aly!

So here's my attempt at making Lt. Falcon resemble his card art:

Falcon and Footloose:

Recipe:
Everything you see is the Lt. Falcon kit that can be bought at BrokenArrowToys.com, except for the knife and holster added to the webgear (Alley Viper), the backpack and the shotgun (25th Falcon). Aly provides a shotgun with the kit and although I like it better, he couldn't hold it properly after I added the knife and holster.

Very nice results from the Broken Arrow upgrade kit - God, I love that Benelli shotgun... good job CS!

Thanks, BS! Now if I only I could give him an A-10...

man you nailed him great job now why couldn't of hasbro done this.

Thanks, X! My biggest complaint with Hasbro's Falcon was the head sculpt. He had tiny head syndrome and hardly any eyes. I remember someone posting that he looked like he had Down Syndrome. He really does.

I miss the good old days when almost all of the figures were original sculpts. They rarely recycled parts. Long gone are those days.

Hey, everyone has their preferences. Some like the uniformity, while others like diversity. Me, I like uniformity with my troop builders, but I don't much care for the rest of my Joes and Cobras to share the same builds.

the thing that always ticked me off was that they had better parts available...

i remember talking with MR looooooooong ago at HT about this...if the mold is in use to make a figure better, then freak'n wait till its not...

I have that kit Oliver- it's really good, you'll like it. Just fyi- I waited almost a year for my last BA order. I just kind of ate the wait time as the nature of the beast.

That looks great bro!

Man I wish the Hasbro Falcon looked like that. THAT is how he should have looked. If you happen to have the crappy comic pack Falcon, would you mind taking a side by side pick of yours and the comic pack?

What an awful figure from Hasbro. This looks a ton better. Yeah, his factory head looked totally like he had Down's Syndrome. That's probably my most-hated head sculpt from the 25th line, and biggest miss overall for the figure itself.

Awesome work on Falcon. I ordered one of those kits about 7 monthes ago... if it ever arrives, I'll be excited to try it out.

Thanks, Oliver! Yeah, it took mine a little over a year to get here, but I also ordered 5 action figure kits at once. I'm still waiting on my Muskrat, Repeater and Recondo kits. I know they'll ship eventually and will be top-notch though.

That looks great bro!

I do have a comic pack Falcon, but I'll have to see if I haven't already mutilated the head in an attempt to get the beret off. I'll check when I get home this evening and take a comparison pic for you.

Thanks, Rex. Yeah, Hasbro screwed up one of my favorite characters. Falcon was always a figure that I wanted as a kid (primarily b/c of the movie) and never I never was able to get him. Then, I finally get a chance to get a Falcon figure in the 25th Anniversary line and Hasbro screws him up. Thanks, Hasbro.

Excellent work as always Cloud. Everything looks perfect.

So what can we look forwrd to next?

Thanks, brother!

I don't know what I'm going to start on next. I would like to redo my Gung-Ho, but I need to send him to Eddie for some work first (he's going to cut some torsos at the waistline for me to swap), but I don't have the arms I need for him as I've decided to use the Mindbender/SC Ripper/Monkey Wrench arms instead of the Nemesis Enforcer/Immortal upper arms that I have on him now. I need a pair that aren't missing plastic on the top of the biceps.

I really need to take a look at my fodder and see what tempts me. I don't remember all of the SDS head casts that I have and I know something will inspire me.

Oliver- I know your anxious for the figures you ordered, but it hasn't been 7 months. Almost 5 yes, but not seven. And, I am working on them...you did order several at once. I'm also trying to get out the other parts orders that you have outstanding as well, as I assumed you needed them first from your communications. Other that, they are working now.

Hey Alyosha,
It's really no problem. I wasn't trying to bash you or anything. From the very begining, you make it very clear that the complete custom kits take a long time with no promise of how fast they'll arrive. I wasn't trying to complain, I'm sure they'll be great figures. You are correct; I checked my Paypal account, and I paid for those Complete Custom Figure Kits in early March, so it's been 5 monthes. Concerning those orders, however, I'll email you.

Not a problem Oliver. You should have an email reply waiting at the moment. Looking forward to putting a couple of these guys in your hands and seeing what you think.

That's what I'm talking about.

Sick!!!!

Your Falcon makes Hasbro's look like some True Heroes bullshit. I'm happy for you that you have a badass Falcon but it's so frustrating to see the comparison shots cuz Hasbro could be doing so much better then what they do.

Thanks

Wow! If Hasbro had released a Lt. Falcon like that there'd be none left on the pegs! He looks fantastic!

Being new here on the forums and a little confused about this figure, is this a kit that you put together or does it come preassembled and painted like that?

We can only hope that MAYBE Hasbro will release a much better Falcon for the 30th Anniversary.

Thanks, man! It came assembled, but I had to paint him.

Here's what he looked like before I painted him (his head was not painted at all, but was cast in a flesh tone):
