Hello everyone thanks for having me on the board :) I wanted to let everyone know about my 1:18 inch toy line. I saw in another thread that it was mentioned as "far Side toys" but I created my own company "Spero Studios" I hope you will enjoy and help me support the line.

The Animal Warriors of the Kingdom is an Action figure line based on
"the Kingdom: Rise of the Ape King Vol.1"

The line is in 4 inch scale, with some characters planned to be slightly taller
or shorter depending on how they appeared in the comic. You can follow
our progress here: www.sperotoys.com and if you are interested in the project
you can like our facebook page so we can calculate the amount of interest in the line before launching the kickstarter. This first post will feature the making of the first figure as well as some of the behind the scenes production image.

I hope to launch the Kickstarter this summer 2016, Year of the Monkey!

Hey, that's neat. It kind of reminds me of everything that was missing from the 2011 Thundercats toy line. I'm also strangely reminded a little of Star Fox for some reason, mostly because of the space pirates.

I really dig the turtle and the bear characters for some reason. Wonderful designs and color schemes.

Update!

This will hopefully be the last digital update you see as we are in the process of 3d printing everything!
Here you can see the alternate heads that will go on the Pale body "Buck" as well as one of 3 sashes in this case (bow quiver) that will be available with different warrior classes.

Jason says he's shooting for the Kickstarter campaign to go live a week before JoeCon.

He got the 3D prints of the figure bits in this past weekend and took some pics of the heads before sending it all out to a garage caster to make him some copies he can monkey with to test assembly and paint.

Is when the campaign starts, mind you. He hasn't decided on a one or two-month capaign yet. If one, it'll end July 10th at the same time of year the HACKS campaign ended, or Aug 10th for a two-month campaign. He's gonna have a buddy manning at table at JoeCon and I think it's a good idea to get a week's worth of publicity before the more focued attention to come from Con-goers. It'll give him time to sort any issues and questions.

I think the bigger worry is the timing against other 18th Kickstarter campaigns. I don't think the 'Kickstarter toy market' is healthy enough to support campaigns fighting over the same pool of contributors.

I think we're done with Adventure People stuff for the year, but Zica is prepping the EAGLE Force campaign; although I've not heard a timeframe to expect it. Solomon Witt is planning a summer campaign for his Hell Screamerz. BFS said there's a chance they might do another campaign for the Fantasy Theme, but I get the impression it's unlikely. I think there's other stuff I'm forgetting, too.

Boss Fight might just want to focus getting the existing campaign sorted. Hell Screamerz is of no interest to me, but I suspect that it would do well. Eagle Force should do well, if they ever actually do the damn thing.

I'm eager to see the action pose pics, and the fully-painted figures. Since this is the Spectral version, Jason's thinking about adding some GitD eyes and maybe a light blue all-over wash to get the details to pop.

I'm interested to see how it looks all painted. I mean with the tribal nature of the subject, it could be adorned with all sorts of war paint and such.

Probably paint it to look like te concept art. If they ever make it to customizers you may indeed see some wild repaints.

Jason says that if his caster can get a bunch of dupes done before the campaign goes up, he's got a list of guys that'll get to do exactly that to help pimp the campaign. They'll still likely get to either way, but it won't be so important if they can't get it all together by the time the campaign ends.

I dunno what I'd do if I got a blank to custom up, but it's fun to imagine the possibilities.

BAM. Considering the sweet customs Jason's done, I can't wait to see the paintjob he puts on Pale. I just hope it's not too much better than the factory can do, lol.

Are the weapon packs included in the All in reward (the one with 30 figures) and if not could 1 of the figures be switched out for 2 of the weapon packs?

Are the other figures unlocked at the same time Baron Kah Lee is unlocked?
