I have finally caught up after three weeks jumping into this line. Here is a pic with everyone so far.

Now, I need to get Clawful today at 11am CST.

Also, there should be quite a few figures re-released today from the many rumors.

1:18 is definitely my scale of choice, but it wouldn't have bothered me in the MOTUC line. The only real precedence for He-Man in 1:18 were the rubber cake topper/toys.

Though, now that i think about it, these in 1:18 would have rocked hardcore with the original Greyskull and Snake Mountain sets.

You must have dropped a bundle to get that whole collection in three weeks! I feel like I spend a lot and I've been getting these for a couple of years...

The only ones I don't get are the historic characters. I don't care about the He-Ro / King Greyskull pre-Adam era. That stuff is ok for a random episode of the cartoon, but it isn't what I want filling out my toy line. It's as if they ran out of characters, so they're following the SW mantra of pushing out a bunch of prequel stuff. I find that to be exceptionally irritating, so I just don't buy it.

I agree with both of you. If Hasbro was making these in 4"... that would rock. However, I am planning to make some 4" versions of the main characters with the help of SDS.

It's a shame they didn't release the back catalog of figures sooner, as I'm sure quite a few people just decided not to get into the line in the past few years simply because a lot of the main characters weren't available. This helps, no doubt, but it might have come far too late for some.

I did pick up Clawful today. I love that mattycollector now orders enough stock that they don't sell out in seconds. I can go on about an hour after the sales starts, and I can get what I need and get out with no WSOD whatsoever. That's a drastic change from just six months ago.

I would love to get Battle Cat, He-Man and Skeletor, but I know I wouldn't be able to stop at that, and the last thing I need is another badass 80's line to collect.

I also REALLY want the Ghostbusters line, too, and the NECA TMNTurtles, but I'm glad I've resisted. They're really amazing toys. Just makes me wish we'd had that articulation as a kid.

They're really isn't all that much to collect in the NECA TMNT line. Just the 4 turtles, plus the black and white variants. I think that April might have come out as an SDCC exclusive.

Playmates pretty much 21st Centuryed the line.

its actually not to hard to resist a full on collection of MOTU if you just get a few due to the very difficult means by which you have to get the product...not to mention the high cost...

i've only picked up He-Man, Moss-Man, Roboto, Prince Adam/Orko and Battle Cat...theres others i'd love to get, but again, the difficulty, cost and large size helps keep the "COLLECT THEM ALL!" feelings at bay...

now, if it was a 4" line like you guys were talking about...i'd go to very extreme lenghts to get every last one...that'd be wicked if all our fave 80's lines were 1:18th with GOOD articulation...MOTU, TMNT, DC TF etc etc...

I think DCUC pushing towards $20 will kill that line. It worked for MOTU as an internet only specialty, but even that is getting thin as they run out of characters. Who is going to pay that for some of the d-listers they are cranking out? Eldorado? Metal Men? The Creeper? WTF!

And we all know Mattel makes 4" figures as well as a group of retarded 3rd graders. I think custom is the only way to ever get good MOTU/DCUC 4" figs.

Sometimes though you got to pay it to get that one figure. *Cough* Kyle Rayner *Cough*

I just wish I could find a body to do a 4" kilowog or Arkillo.

I thought there was a NECA Shredder, too? I dunno, I just really liked those turtles. I honestly MAY still get the all-white ones, as that's a really cool visual, and if it's just 4 of them, I'd have to stop there.

Ghostbusters are another story, I'd buy everything they made...

It's unfortunate, but probably a good thing, that lines like MOTUC are harder to get. It keeps me from wasting my money on them, and the last thing I need is another line.

The price doesn't bother me so much, but the difficulty to get things really irritates the shit out of me fast. That's why I gave up on some of the Joe variants, like the clear Wraith. I never could find the bastard, and it's out of principal that I won't pay $30 for him. But I've spent in the idiot range of $75-more for some single Joes, and over $250 for some Transformers.

I'm of the opinion that the NECA Shredder is never gonna see the light of day.

the regular price doesnt bother me either, well, to an extent...but the inflated price you have to pay to get MOTU on the secondary market DOES bother me...it irritates the crap outta me that we have to pay scalpers to get this stuff or BBTS $14 mark up for a pre-order

Ah, that's awesome! I haven't kept up too much with this line, as every time I see something from it, it makes me want to cave, and the last thing I need is to follow a pricy, kinda-pain-in-the-ass-to-collect line like MOTUC.

I figured you meant Battle Cat, but Cringer being a separate sculpt is pretty awesome. Who'd he come packaged with, Prince Adam?

he came packed with the Queen...who i had no interest in owning...BBTS had the set for $40 which is what i was gonna get and then try and unload her...fortunately, this guy just saved me $15 and the pain of selling...too bad he has zero articulation, pretty much like the classic Battle Cat

Well. I got hooked into this line. After re-watching the 2002 series, I have fallen back in love with MOTU. Something I thought I died out years ago. *sigh*

It's a lot like being on drugs.

Either you have nothing to do with it, or you don't know how to live without it.

Welcome!

You are right about that. I have Vikor and Whiplash at the moment with Beastman on the way. Hopefully, next I can score a Man-at-arms.

I wish they would have used a "smaller" body style for Prince Adam but, That's what the vintage one was like.

They've said many times in the Q&As that they are trying hard to maintain vintage sensibilities. Thus even if they make a character from the New Adventures, 200X animation, or any other take on MOTU, it'll still be in a vintage style no matter what media originated the character. Thus everything will look very 80's, including beefy Adam.

Ah, dammit! Don't post pics like that Eddie! I'll buy them all if I see how awesome they are together.

Funny that they wouldn't scale down Adam though, considering that they scaled down a toon-accurate Cringer. *shrugs*
