so wjats your thoughts on it? I'm gonna get atleast one and do a fat albert job(thats an eddie-ism if I've ever seen one). May get another if they are nice, and do either a coast guard, greens and greys of europe hercueles's or israel air force colors, depending on decals.

The decals that came with it aren't the greatest. It won't carry any vehicles (which sucks), but it's pretty good I like it. I plan on stripping the stickers off (yeah after I just put them on) and doing my own nose art. The number on the tail is actually from Azrael which is the AC-130 that retired in Oct 1995 at the United States Air Force Museum

dose it have a hook up to be mounted of tripod or did you add that?

It's balanced on there. So yeah a good center of gravity. There is a handle on top between the wings. I guess you could hang it from that.

Chked one out today. Definitely has potential. I like the command center inside.

yes! posted before KT ruins the thread. The front half don't look so bad, and the stickers do spruce things up. The back angles though I'm not so sure about. Particularly the fifth picture down, the plane still looks small.

It's great for "Joe-Scale" stuff, but unless you can come up with a good kit to turn it into something more realistic..

C-27A "Spartan" Perhaps?

Real Length: 74 feet (1/18 = 4.1 feet)
Real Wingspan: 94 feet (1/18 = 5.2 feet)

Nope still too small. Dagnabit.

Yeah, I think NSA has a point. Having four propeller engines on that toy was too ambitious. Chap Mei really should have modeled the look of the wings after the Spartan. Too me that's it's greatest fault. The engines propellers are too close and look like they'll hit each other.

I was thinking maybe the c-123 but that is too big as well with a wing span of 73.3 inches and length of 50.83 inches.

It still would be fun to slice and dice and try and do something with it.

I'm thinking the best oppertunity with this bird is to make a P-3c with it ;)

I like it. I think it has great potential to become some sort of gunship. Yes, it is out of scale but it is probably the closest we are going to get for something like this. I would try for AC-27J stinger, or AC-130. Azrael, iirc, was an older H model gunship, I would try to make it a U model, but that will take lots of molding of turrets and fairings. The H models had the LLLTV camera in the front pass door, and IR under the nose so that may be an option.
