One thing to consider for those on the fence is space for the logo and tags. Try to imagine those on the picture.

If #5 wins we may have to leave off the logo or just make it much smaller. There's just too much there to cover up. Since this seems to be an on going obstacle I'm highly suggesting we find another way to incorporate the logo without placing it over the banner itself.

Hey yall!!! I think all the pics are pretty good but some dont focus on the Helos as much as the others!!! #5 is the best looking pic by far but it really has no space for the logo and tags---#8 is also a KICK-ASS pic and it sticks with the theme of "get to the choppa" , it has room for the logo and tags, and its a good pic of the Helo!!! Im going with #8!!!---RED---

personally, i don't see the problem with covering up some of the shot, so long as its not the main focal point of the picture...

i hear ya...theres a couple up there that some really good parts of the pic would get lost to the logo...

thing is, i think the banner feels more incorperated with the logo actually being part of it...plus its nice for the winner to get a copy of their picture with it on it...

As an example with the banner above I had to photoshop in another inch along the left side so that the logo wouldn't cover up the two soldiers stepping off the M2 Bradley. Believe it or not most of these dios tell a story and if any of the elements in the scene are covered up so is part of the story itself. Its like having somebody tall with a big head sitting directly in front of you in a movie theater. lol

And I'm sure you were not pointing at the wide open logo space on your entry as you typed that.

I plead the fif'. :D

There are actually a couple that the logo and tags would not harm any of the work. They all came out nice this trip. This one may be a little closer than the last.

I agree Bee. With both the logo and D-Tags on each end it can be tough with the photo height being short also. It's nice to have some challenge in making the shots, but these three items border on restrictive.

Had to go with #5. It has 3 choppers in that tight box and then the 2 others in the background.

Nice Fled

I'm not saying he wasn't originally number 5, The quote that was said is not "Number 5 is alive", the quote is "I'm Johnny 5, I'm alive" and he says " Johnny five is alive!" he says it at the end of the movie, he has changed his name at that point in the movie.

He does although say, "no dissasemble number 5" instead of johnny right before he says that.

IMDB does not have the quote, but this site does.

FYI, he says "Number Five is alive."

I should know, it was my favorite movie growing up. He doesn't go by Johnny Five until later in the film.

K, I am going to have to admit defeat on this. I own both movies. I just watched 1. He doesn't pick Johnny as his name till the absolute end of the movie after he throws the seat out of the van. All the johnny 5 alive quotes that were stuck in my head are from the 2nd movie. It took me only a couple of skips through 2 to find them. I am not a big fan of the 2nd but I am a DVD completist when it comes to movies and sequels.

I also forgot just how funny Fisher Steven's character was in those movies. The lines he said are some of the best of all time.

Gone Baby, Gone
;)

I've seen the first one a billion times. I hadn't seen it since the early 90's except maybe twice, but watched it a month or 2 ago and remembered at least half the lines by heart.

Fisher Steven's by far the best character in the film.

"I am thinking she is a virgin. Or at least she used to be."

"Oh. Her pants are blazing for you, New-ton Crosby."

I also really liked Skroeder, despite him being a total twat.

It's really a smart movie for it's class and era, and for an 80's flick, it still holds up decently. I always felt like it was a fairly realistic portrayal of robots, versus some of the other stuff out there.
