Almost done with this one.
I've been planning a photo series of a toy version of Operation Gothic Serpent (aka Black Hawk Down) and I've been very slowly gathering the figures and vehicles I need.
This is my latest one. I realise the APCs in the movie are different, but the Type 92s were also used by the UN. Call it artistic licence.
I used a sandy off-white shade for the base coat because white colours appear washed-out under the lighting I use and many details disappear. I hand-painted the UN logos with a 5/0 brush. I used Citadel's "Devlan Mud" wash to accentuate panel lines and weathered the vehicle with pastel chalk and artist's acrylic paint (in tubes).
