Scarlett, L&O and TR are all that really interest me. That Scarlett head is fugly though. Will make a good base for female troopers. I was looking forward to Troopers since they had a shield too but now I'm on the fence. Although, that may now drive up Shock Troopers value so get while they are low.

hasbro said they had to drop some of the gear to keep cost down so thts why there missing some things we saw at the con.

At least it's supposedly just Renegades that lost gear. I'm sure chaos would ensue if any of the other figures came with less stuff. There would be a "occupy Rhode Island" movement.

The Trooper is cool, but of limited use. Vehicles drivers is about it, as the lack of the newer wrist articulation disqualifies them from sharpshooter duty. No contest compared to the STs.

Scarlett probably just needs a new paint job on the head sculpt, something I'm really not qualified to do. I see L&Os being army-built to die at the hands of STs, while a single TR would make for an interesting take on a tank crewman or mechanic.

Why the hell did TR get a bomb robot? That alone is going to make him tough to get in some areas. A different head on Scarlett will be an easy fix.

Same reason they insist on packing him with that lame-ass scoped M60, just 'cause.

If I manage to find him I'm sure I'll be able to swap the bomb 'bot for a Shock Trooper or something.

The figures look pretty good. I'll get Sci-Fi and Airtight for nostalgia reasons only, but the rest seem useful enough.

Uh, did Airtight lose his vintage backpack? Looks like the one that comes with him is now the canister one.

Kind of fucking dumb for them to swap out the vintage one. It looks too big to be hidden below the figure behind the name, and I doubt it'll fit on the figure and we're just not seeing it. Sigh, I knew he was too close to perfect.

And they fucked up big time by not including the alternate head with L&O. I was going to buy several, but now only one, maybe two at most. That alternate head was fucking dope.

I don't give a damn about the rest of the accessories that are now missing. I'm glad they got rid of that silly whatever-it-was robot prong thing that was pictured with Airtight.

Can't wait to see Lifeline. He better have all his damn gear, as that figure was awesome.

I already have that bomb bot. I haven't even opened that Walmart exclusive set yet. At least mine is silver. So I may trade away my Tunnel Rat version.

Not pleased, Hasbro, not pleased at all. I see they saw fit to give the Renegades Trooper his second head.

That trooper isn't all that bad, but I have a sneaking suspicion that mixing POC/Renegades will be a big mistake round these parts.

Well, I do like the second head that the Renegades Trooper got. It will help add to some variety there. And I'm hoping to build a few of those guys.

What I wish they would've left out instead, is Sci-Fi's "faceplate down" alternate head. While cool, it's not something that I was dying for, and I think most fans will display him with the faceplate up. But I guess some people wanted his alternate head for space figure customs, so who knows.

I am most disappointed about the lack of that alternate L&O head, and the omission of Airtight's signature backpack. I mean, I could be wrong, but I just don't see them in there.

I see the Trooper was supposed to come with the ST riot shield. Fortunately I have several spares.

Too bad they put that big ass Cobra logo on the flak vest.

That bigass logo looks bad. They could've put tiny logos on the sleeves and been fine. I would have rather they left it off altogether from the chest, but the smaller one looked better than the giant ass target.

And I thought my clients were the only ones who were guilty of "MAKE THE LOGO BIGGER!"

I don't think so. There would be some, sure, but Renegades Duke seems to do just swell with the PoC stuff.

If anything I think the inferior, soft details of the 25th line clash more with PoC than the Renegades does.

I'd have to agree with you. Looking at all the 25th parts I have in comparison to the POC stuff makes me sad.

Eddie can take care of the ball-cupping. I'm sure he'd trade some figures just for the chance

I really think it's a lack of proper parts pool that makes customizing such a chore. If these fucking things were 4 bucks a pop sure, I'd customize like a mad man. Not so much when they're 7+


I also try to save my customizing for "different" things. I'm not much into doing the same things as everyone else.

PMCs and all-black "snipers"? No thanks, plenty of other people doing that stuff.

I hear you. I want to do customs of a bunch of stuff from the Metal Gear Solid games. I have the parts and the ideas, just not the time. With winter coming, I'll be shooting less, so I'll probably have more custom time.

Well I thought the concencus here was Renegade figs suck. I don't like them much myself but again, I must confess that I am liking the trooper. I've made a few mistakes like taking pics of neo vipers and painting my Night watch troopers black and calling them "snipers". I don't want to make a similar mistake by buying these and mixing them with my existing collection, only to get laughed right out of the dio section. I do aim to please but fall short so often.
