I actually liked the Not-Actually-in-the-Movie ROC Shipwreck. He was one of the better figs from that line.
Eh, a parrot is kinda funny and could be used in a short scene for comic relief, especially if they were like "Who brings a parrot into a warzone?" and then Polly just goes "poof!" in a red cloud of feathers. I have more of a problem with a ninja/commando having a wild fucking timber wolf as a "dog".
The only animal companions I'd wanna see are Junkyard or Order. The rest, in a movie setting, are silly.

what are you talking about? I've bought four steel brigade troops, a sgt stalker, a hazard viper, and one of those renegades dukes. I've been tempted to get the new cobra troopers and vipers but I would have to get rid of my old 25th ones first. Running out of room (and money in my bank account).

I don't know why you guys are so upset, do you actually plan on going to see this piece of shit?
As bad as it sounds, I'll still be curious enough to see it on the big screen, if only so I can have an informed opinion. I'll probably see it like I saw RoC: with matinee pricing and a flask in my pocket...

I have no expectations for this movie. maybe I'll have one when the trailer comes out but honestly sequels are almost never better than the first movie and in this case the first movie didn't reflect anything that GI Joe fans liked about the comics and cartoons they fell in love with.
Considering that the director of the movie I'd say this movie won't reflect the things Joe fans liked about the comics and cartoons either.

When I saw the trailer for ROC I knew better than to waste eight bucks on a movie that was clearly not going to be anything I would want a GI Joe related movie to be. When I finally did rent and see it I didn't hate it but I got to say it doesn't carry the spirit or aesthetic of the original cartoon or more importantly the original comics and I can see why hardcore joe fans would be disappointed.
With that said I can officially say that I'm not going to waste eight bucks in a theater to watch a second swing and a miss. I don't even have to see an embarrassing trailer to make this judgement call. Now maybe they have these dancers and singers for a concert scene that will be violently blown up by firefly in some sort of terrorist attack, but when it comes to media like Movies and videos games I got to say, NEVER give them the benefit of the doubt. After all we do live in a disappointing post star wars prequel world where we have to be pessimistic to avoid being disappointed to the point of suicide.

I'm just hoping to God they don't recreate the scene from the cartoon where Shipwreck, Snake-Eyes and Timber are dressed in drag trying to escape Cobra City in some lounge singer's armored van.
yes. because people totally commit suicide over movies all the time. Bad movies are beating out heart disease for leading cause of deaths in America. The more you know. Or at least I heard people becoming depressed because they weren't gay blue cat people on a digitally remastered planet full of bullshit.

That would be the best god damn thing ever. The franchise would be ruined, but it's almost worth it.

depends on the trailer...right now, there is so much going on, so much casting, so many familiar Joe names, FIREFLY!, that i don't even know what to expect...
that being said, i'm not at all expecting to be impressed by a trailer....but crazier things have happened...it seems so far, that they are trying REALLY hard to rectify the first flop of a movie...so a trailer will tell me what i need to know...or some stills of SE with or w/o lips
i think we can expect to see joe and cobra vehicles that "we actually recognize"! I also think they are making a conscious effort to go with the "B" team for both joe and cobra. We are getting Flint and Lady Jaye and Roadblock and Jinx with of course Duke and Snake Eyes thrown in. Somehow i do NOT think Duke is going to play a prominent role.
On Cobra it looks like the B squad as well with Zartan and Firefly Calling the shots, and probably a lot of Storm Shadow as well. Although there is still a ton of uncertainty surrounding Cobra Commander, i would bank he is in it at some point, but it wouldnt shock me if we do not see the Baroness or Destro at all, in an attempt to get entirely away from what was done in ROC.
I could be wrong but i think a lot of this banter about dancers and a pop singer having roles, don't be shocked if this is some sort of night club scene or something along those lines, kind of like "The Snake Club" in the cartoon.

The first movie sucked, and, maybe this is me, but I think its sketchy that the only pictures we seem to have are of The Rock, like we're all going "Oh hells yeah, we gotta go see this, The Rock's in it."
I'll take both outfits and a few of each figure please. like KT said, olive drab, hell yeah, and the other 'armor' outfit if made, i'll take for the parts and I will need 1 of each for keepers. He will never be considered Roadblock in my collection though, he will be G.I.Rock....lol
Yeah, if they bring their PoC sculpting game and the studio doesn't fuck the costume designs up there may just be several figures worth having multiples of.

May not indicate what might come during the second or third act. Remember, Duke and Ripcord showed up wearing multicam before stomping around Paris looking like Master Cheif had a baby with Iron Hide from the Transforms movies.
