Your lighting is always perfect Rick. This scene really looks like they are out in the middle of nowhere. That shot up building is just awesome. I wish there was a tutorial on how to make one like that.
You do some of the finest desert/mountain scenes. I got to get some sheer covers for my lights to try and get that mood. It's not too bright but yet has a dullness that seems like it's hot and desolate.

Blood I hate to dissapoint you on some type of elaborate lighting, but all it I do is hang my daughters old bedside lamp upside down without the lamp shade looped around a nail on the floor joists above.
I just lower and raise it for the time of day to cast an accurate angle for shadows.
That's it.
I think it's the camera (Cannon Rebel) and setting (Landscape) I use that does most of the work.
