That certificate is small compensation for the price tag.

Think the U.S.A. markings might be a little high granted that there aren't any chaff/flare dispensers installed. Definitely looks like it's too far aft on the tail boom.

Interesting bit about the online store.

Wonder what releases they will have for sale?

Come on, BBI, give us a Hornet with some serious firepower options!

You know they'd charge a c-note JUST for the ordinance.

They'll probably rerelese the Hornet with new rectangular intakes and call it an F/A-18E. :D

Not gonna happen. It'll be no more a proper Super Hornet than that UH-60 with FLIR and radome is a proper SOAR MH-60.

BBI has always delivered great products at OK prices, Until now. BBI is trying to sell a product to collectors only. I have not seen a 1 BBI thing in stores in the last 3 months. I'm in med school, I cant afford this unless I want to starve!

I'm rather pessimistic about this whole online store idea. I'd be happy to be wrong, but I am not convinced on the idea that it's going to breath the life some people hope it will to the hobby.

Back in the glory days Defenders and Kiowas were retailing (not on clearence) at TrU for 20-25 bucks.

Great fucking price for those two.

It'll probably be directly shipped from China. I don't see it, either, unless they severly slash their price structure. We know the MH wholesold for WAY too much, no need to mention the ridiculous retail price.

On their Facebook page I asked them if the price for the MH-60 was still as high as giraffe's vagina. Good times.

A lot has to be done to it to bring it up to snuff. Too much, IMO, to justify the price tag.

For me, who missed out on these fine pieces at resonable prices will most likely make the leap, but I'll have to save up. Momma will kill me if I just dropped that on a collectible toy.

PTE or True heros just ain't going to cut it. To bad there's no in between

I think the PTE ground stuff is fine, but the air stuff doesn't work for me.

Since the regular blackhawks are going for 150+ on the Bay most days I dont think this is "terrible". The trouble is BBi is going by those prices and not what they "should" be. I would be willing to drop a bill on one but 170 is a big chunka of a very limited "toy" budget. To me, if they released the Kiowa again and charged 125+, that would piss me right the fuck off.

This is right up there with a 125 dollar Kiowa. There really isn't any modifications they can do to the 58D, as best as I can recall they could add Hellfires to it. Certainly wouldn't justify a x5 retail price hike.

They didn't add the refueling probe, hell, they didn't even do a FRIES set up on the MH-60.

I'm always amused when we arbitrarily decide how much something "should" cost, based on what it used to cost (which we still can't decide on) and conjecture on other factors. The truth is, we have no idea how much this "should" cost, and people are just complaining because it's more than they want it to be. I don't fault anyone for that, but this idea that we know what the price should be in some arbitrary market amuses the hell out of me.

BBI has to remember that they are a TOY company that makes to for children first, collectors second. that's why I had places slideshow. I though the real fun was customizing and detailing on your own, when was the last time you detailed a BBI thing? they really need to get there act together. There freaking line is called elites forces, with was designed for children. My nephew was crying when he found out the black hawk was too much money for Hanukkah! really BBI you made a young boy cry!

Pretty sure that BBi markets this stuff to adult collectors, not to kids.

Biggest dump on earth
With their Humvees at a toy show they had updated versions with with front covered gun turrets and enclosed gun turret models in 1:18th scale. These never saw production and were only prototypes. I'm wondering if this thing will ever reach store outlets.

Your mileage may vary, I guess. They're generally good enough for me.

Not for me, not at 170 bucks.

I was with them at 120-30, shipped, but they better tack on a few more things to get me to move for 170.

I disagree fogger, with a name like elite forces it sounds like there marketing to kids, and they're sometimes in toy stores. plus the advertise stuff like "real moving gun!". it seems like its planed more for kids (not that it turned out that way) plus its fun to detail

Two words "tax return". Sadly that about shoots mine in the butt, but after this I only want another littlebird and an M1A1 and I'll be pretty much content. Feels odd to wrap up a hobby but it sure helps when I buy only the things that interest me.

Yeah, I have so many other things I was to spent the tax money on (Guns, TV, PC video card, etc) that I feel like it's a waste at this point.

It may be the 3 US Army Blackhawks that I have talking though.

You can send me one then feel free to buy this faux MH.

I really want to want one, but it's just so damn expensive.

not just expensive, but UNREASONABLY expensive...ther is nothing they could tell me that would justify that much of a mark-up to the original..unless they just came right out and said, "we want bigger profits"...i could live with that honesty...still wouldnt pay that much for one though, regardless of how pretty it is...

Linky linky?

I really want to want one, but it's just so damn expensive.

Since so many people want it and it looked very promising, I bought it on ebay couple weeks ago. The shipping is fast and the box itself is rigid, so it arrive nicely. The MH60 is very neat, and I decided to hang it up soon. Yeah, along with the tax it is kinda expensive but pretty high quality. I love it, and it is money well spent as an aircraft collector.
