Just thought I'd share this "thing." I guess it can be considered kit bash plus scratch build. Here are the parts:

The hatch is from the neck of a bottle of water. I think it was Vitamin Water. The Hatch lid was from ebay, it was a 1/16 scale WWII Tiger tank hatch that you can buy separately.

The interior is styrene plus all kinds of left over fodder from model kits and the seat was sculpted.

Top half of the hull was from a 1/32 scale WWII German Puma model kit.

Front and sides of the hull were from styrene.

Guns from a Armored Core model kit.

Legs from the Avartar movie mech toy. It's actually the arms from that mech.

Feet from some cheap robot toy I found in an anime store in Chinatown.

All kinds of fodder added. The ladder things sticking out of its side were made from paper clips, the decals were leftover from various model kits, the Cobra decal was printed as well as the nose art chick on the side. I forget which WWII airplane that image came from but it was actual nose art on one of the famous planes in WWII. Don't remember if it was a fighter or a bomber.

Here are a few WIP pics, sorry, I didn't think to take WIP pics until it was in this stage:

super bad ass brew. can you actually fit the figure all the way into the cockpit? or is it pretty much just there for the sake of detail?

Yup, plenty of room in the cockpit. In fact, I was thinking of making this thing a 2 seater but it would've been crowded.

that thing is crazy awesome!...though i thought it was much more massive until you added the figures into the pics...great details too, like the rust running down under the ladder rungs...very nice touches all over...

you'll fit in very well at this site :D

I love the amount of detail you put in to work man! I do have one question is the model itself top heavy at all?

hey man, welcome. I've loved seeing all your Rebel Angel stuff over at that other place, and I can't wait to see more of it here. You have a great style and your kitbashing skills are inspiring.

I too am not into these things, but your artistry is incredible to put together all those different scales and everyday items to create things like this is pretty damn cool.

Look forward to enjoying more of your work.

Thanks again to all for the kind words.

Its actually not too heavy on top bc all the parts are just plastic and for the most part, the hull is hollow. I was thought of adding lights with a battery pack in the rear interior but had I done that, it probably would've been too top heavy and difficult to pose.

Lance, I too am glad to see you here. The universe you have created is one of the most cohesive and consistent I have seen/read, as is the work you do for it.
Your artistry is top notch and does this hobby or ours a great service.

May I ask how long you've been making custom figures and vehicles?

Thanks.

I've been doing this since I discovered the GI Joe 25th anniversary figures in 2009 I think. I remember just buying a few for kicks and then not being totally happy with them. Then I looked online and discovered this hobby and I saw so many amazing customs and thought it would be fun to try and I've been obsessed ever since.

So it's been 2-3 years? However, I think I developed the skill set when I was a kid. I use to put together plastic scale models so that allowed me to develop the painting, gluing, and knife skills for this hobby. I loved WWII models, airplanes and armor when I was a kid.

In fact, you have probably noticed a touch of WWII influence over my Rebel Angel universe in terms of camo patterns, particularly, this guy and this vehicle:
