No problem. That's only what has been unveiled so far. There's a Chinese assault rifle and a tacticool AK in this series, too.

I think it is supposed to be an HK...but like a lot of his stuff he has to change names as to get in trouble.

I know I'm in for a couple of the mod sets, the HK and the AK. Maybe the 240 and the Vector.

I was gonna go with the Vector (thought it was gonna have a removable carbine barrel), but I'm pretty cool on it. Hasbro won that round, shockingly.

So maybe some tacticool AKs to go with the older stuff I'm eyeing.

Biggest dump on earth
Been ordeing from these guys for 7 years. I have yet to see a Russian machine gun box fed. 21st Century has one with their Taliban fighters but the thing is too soft like coming down off a night of Viagra.

Got my first order from these guys yesterday.

Beautiful!

Great detail and sturdy. I like the thin slits for slings, I guess on the butt/stock. I will be making new slings now, probably using the tooth paste tube cut into thin strips.

The clips on the M4 suck though. They don't fit that great and will need to be glued. Any of you experience this?

All those modular parts are great, but come apart fairly easy, so I may just glue different configurations together, leave one interchangeable and just order more, they're so damn cheap.

Well, I'm going to look at the plus side. You get great fodder from the modular versions and you can configure what you want.

Now I know what I've missed, I've heard the praise for a while. They package stuff nicely too.

I do want to do a dio where two guys are running out of ammo with empty clips everywhere with shots of them loading.

I'm very pleased.

That would be a great dio. Dont get me wrong. I love the modular weapons. I just glue them the way I want and buy another set if I want it another way. Never thought about using the clips in a dio. great call. I only had thought about gluing them to webgear.

Ok. ok... I know this is a toy website... BUT... you guys are killing me with the clip/magazine thing.

The boxy-thing that attaches to an M16/AK47/FAL/XXX type weapon is a MAGAZINE

The little strip thing that has bullets on it that you push into a 1903/Lee Enfield/Mosin Nagant/SKS or M16/AK47/FAL/XXX Magazine is a CLIP or stripper clip.

To clarify: Magazine is the metal/plastic boxy thing
Clip is the strippy metal bullet holder thing

/end anal retentive rivet-counter rant :D

This is for those of you that truly don't know the difference, not the wise acres in the bunch. ;)

Thanks for the visual aids and covering me on the Enbloc... completely slipped my mind.

I imagine that's the reason for the confusion- seeing WWII movies where GI's are asking for clips (enbloc clips), and assuming the terminology was the same across the board.

I think it's because you'd often hear curved box magazines (usually AK ones) refered to as banana clips.

I think clip got/ets used a lot in gangsta rap, too.

Thanks K-T.

I had an idea of what he was talking about...but wanted to be 100% sure.

Thanks from me also. It's great having you guys to set us straight. I don't even feel embarrassed.

I knew of the term "Magazine" and what it refered to, but I think you guys are right about where we get the term "clip" from.

I just thought they were the same where Magazine was a newre reference to the same thing.

Kind of like faggot and pussy or bitches and ho's or bullet and round.

Now if I can get suppresor and silencer figured out.

Hey the larger night scopes that come with the modular M4's, are they useable during day light or no?

Suppressor and silencer are roughly interchangable- they both describe the same thing. Suppressor is the more accurate term that's "en vogue" right now becuase the addition of the "can" (slang term for the suppressor) doesn't really "silence" the round. The only thing that is Hollywood quiet is a suppressed .22 or MP5SD. It's very hard to quiet all the things that make noise in a firearm.

Rick- the night vision scope you're refering to is, I think, is a thermal imaging scope I can't remember the model number, not a night vision scope. It shows differences in temperature, and can be used during the day, but is most effective when there are large jumps in temperature. Normal NV amplify ambient light, and cannot be used during the day.

That's very true. Rounds like the 5.56 (AR/M16) and 7.62x51(M14/FAL/G3) are supersonic. They will produce a crack. There are subsonic rounds specifically loaded to not break the sound barrier when fired- but they're expensive. 9mm is one of the more popular rounds to run suppressed because the subsonic ammo is much less expensive than the alternative in another caliber.

I think Marauder did the AN/PVS-4, which does have a day/night adapter.

That's what it is. I couldn't remember which model it was. I got the chance to use one in Iraq. They're freaking heavy, and depth perception is shit, but it still looks pretty cool.

Imagine using the old Soviet and American Starlight scopes. Probably weigh close to what the rifle itself does.

I can't believe they had those mounted to the M2 carbines. It seems like they would break the little pea-shooter in half.

Indeed.

Wish they'd do one. I'd love to have Stalker's M16 rockin' that ancient shit.

That would be cool. One wouldn't be so hard to fashion. Actually, the one you made back in the day for your German trooper was pretty close looing.

I was thinking more along the lines of the later PVS-1 or 2.

Though the M3 would be cool if I were to ever do a Korean or Alt-WWII in the PTO figure.

I've actually got a cold-weather WWII figure I was gonna do for the Zombie COntest, but I could just as easily roll him over to a Korean War figure.

This requires some pondering.
