So are you using the little green tank as a reference as to the "model" of tank you used to have? Or you had a big ass plastic tank similar to the one in the picture?

Hey guys i used to have this tank it was about 2' long does anyone know the company who made this?

no this was for 1/6 GIJOS this isnt little the plastic men were 12" tall

A 2 FOOT tank would not be 1/6th scale.. at all.

Though, in the depths of my mind, I do remember having a plastic M48/M60 type tank as a kid. I think I used it with my Joes. If I remember correctly it opened up in the front or the rear (huh huh) and could store figures etc in there.

Hey, little kids mix different scales all the time with no problems. It's called imagination.

It's just us "grownups" who get all anal about scale and proportion, true 1/18 and Joescale, etc. etc... :D

I use to go to this girl's house to play because she had those green army men that were a good 8" tall. She used them as bait to get me to play doctor. I soon forgot about the army men. ;)

That particular tank was made from the 60's up till a few years ago. You can usually find it on eBay using search terms like Tim Mee Toys or Processed Plastics. Even in the box they go for relatively cheap, i.e. $15-20.

It's a really nice piece for what it is. I especially love it because it's closer in scale to the "little green army men" than the usual stuff that's packaged with them.

And the M60 version seen in the picture has storage space for the little guys!

Yeah, the engine deck lifts like a trunk lid for stor(w)age.

Though it's not a 60, like I said. :D

When I was a kid my paternal grandmother kept a bunch of toys she kept for the grand kids and there was one of these. Fun stuff. Not sure why you wouldn't just buy a 21st Walker other than nostalgia, however.

But it says "M60" on the box!!! Are you saying the box is a lie? BOXES DON'T LIE!

But what is a 21st Walker?
