I knew that I wanted to make an updated Falcon for my collection and thought I would try Tiger Stripe camo out on him. This was my 2nd attempt at Tiger Stripe camo (it's been about a year since my 1st attempt). I'm happy with how the camo turned out and the parts seems to work well for him.

I would also like to note that I'm going to give him the upcoming Marauder Gun Runners' AA-12 that they'll be releasing soon. The gun he's currently equipped with is just a stand-in since it's the closest thing to an AA-12 I have right now :p.

Gun - Marauder Falcon - I'm planning on giving him the AA-12 that Marauder Gun Runners is putting out here soon (hence the ammo drum pouch on his web gear), but this is the closest thing I have until then :D

That shows you how much I know about guns. I had a feeling that the USAS 12 was the gun I had him pictured with, but still had to Google it. Thanks, hitting me with some knowledge, KT!

And yes, you will dread the day that you paint Tiger Stripe.

I'm glad to see that it can be pulled off without all the tiny spots and striations, though. Masterful job, Cloud.

Yeah you did a bang up job on that TS camo! And the comparison pics put that 25th one to shame.

Question on the camo painting -did you do it in layers? Like the lighter areas around the black stripes, did you paint a large light stripe then the black over it or the black stripe and outline with light?

It looks fantastic and I am curious as someone is asking me to commission a Falcon - I pray he doesn't see yours and ask me to do that. Right now he just wants it to be green and brown like the DIC cartoon (I think)...

After laying the base coat of Dark Green (Testors Model Master), I begin making the outlines of the Tiger Stripes (Israeli Armor Sand Gray) and fill them as close to the edge of the outline as I can (Testors Floquil Tri-Color Black) while still allowing enough of the tan color to be seen.

Then, I begin making splotches and irregular shapes for the brown (mixture of Testors Model Master Leather and Model Master Aircraft Interior Black) part of the camo and fill spots the same way that I do the black stripes.

Finally, I do random thin filler lines with the Israeli Armor Sand Gray.

hangs head in shame for the 25th Falcon...he was a piece of sh!t BEFORE you put yours next him...that original one is just so pathetically sad by comparison...

really REALLY nice work on him CS...the camo looks amazing...and thats not HT ball fluffing, thats a serious compliment :D

Damn I never looked so good.

But seriously, I've always felt the Falcon (and Stalker) were meant to be wearing Vietnam tiger stripe camo, but paint limitation in the 80's made it impossible to do. Your tiger stripe paint job is excellent.

I've actually been thinking about redoing my custom Stalker and giving him TS camo like the Sideshow version (love what Sideshow has done with most of the Joes). I also need to do a tutorial on how to paint TS camo, so he would be a good candidate. I'm currently working on giving Flint TS camo pants right now like his Sideshow counterpart, and I plan on giving him the new Marauder Falcon headsculpt, as it seems perfect for Flint.

Excellent job on the Tiger Stripe camo. That's probably the best Tiger Stripe camo I've ever seen on a custom figure. Really, really well done. The whole figure looks great, and it's a really nice update for the character.

I'm thinking about giving Falcon the LBV that comes with the Shock Trooper instead of the web gear he currently has. This will of course get rid of the boyscout scarf. Yay or nay?
