I was thinking of replacing Destro with a WW2 Marine, and Snake Eyes with an Imperial Japanese soldier banzai charge. That would be pretty messy.

This Famas came with the Dusty in the ROC Ross set with the desert vehicle. Probably why the color is different

Maybe, but the Thing and the Hulk don't have to worry about tubes and shoulder pads restricted their upper body movement.

Vic's figure is available from online sellers and specialty shops (comics stores, neckbeard figure shops, etc). The one I posted was some kind of BlizzCon exclusive, from what I understand. Will cost about $15 - $20 on ebay.
The upcoming Gamestars StarCraft figures aren't out yet and I haven't seen any pictures of them so far, but you bet your ass I'm interested.
