Overhauled Papo's velociraptor.

1. Reposition the left leg to improve balance.
2. Remove tail.
3. Attach tail from Jurassic Park raptor toy.
4. Blend the scales between the 2 different toys by sculpting.
5. Paint every single surface except the inside of the mouth.
6. Voila.

This is a scale photo from before completion:

You did a great job on detailing it. The hybridization is flawless, too. You can't tell you did anything to it!

Also, the hinge joint on the head looks much better too. What were they going for with the original paint apps? They look horrendous.

The head looked fine, it's just the back that got wacky. I forget JP3 happened. What an awful movie. The effects in that were worse than the original 2. Ugh.

Where are the feathers? ;)

In your ass.

There are several reasons this has no feathers.
1. Papo raptor is the coolest, most detailed of the affordable raptor figurines out there, and it was not given feathers.
2. Affordable though it is, at $15 apiece, it's not worth taking the risk to sculpt feathers onto if the sculptor sucks at sculpting feathers.
3. I suck at sculpting feathers.

I'm looking for a good sized T-Rex that would fit two ME figs on it's back (If you read the Dresden files you know what I'm talking about).

Do you know of any T-rex's that look as good as that one in the size comparison pic, but just a tad bigger?
