Hmm... Probably still a decent price. I've got one still mint in the box, so I have no idea how the thing wears. My original one caught fire, so I can't say how any wear would affect it looks-wise. Is it stressed at all? Probably like 75% the going price if it's really noticeable?

I had some Amazon bucks from gift cards that I redeemed... I opted for that Starscream from BBTS, of all places. Their Amazon shipping is cheaper than through their site! WTF?

When they sell through Amazon, they likely can use the Amazon pre-negotiated shipping rates that are likely much lower than those available to normal businesses. So it's not a surprise that the shipping is higher at their own site. It's not a shady thing, just a quirk due to Amazon's massive size and negotiating power.

Ehh, I'm good with my THS Prime...his scale to the onslaught of combiners that are coming from 3rd parties is perfect to me...

Nice to see another Optimus Prime going to the TRU Exclusive area, but dammit, where in the hell are Shockwave and Skyfire!?

Hasbro keeps overlooking quality robots!!!!

Takara needs to hurry the hell up and issue the other 4 Dinobots in Masterpiece glory.

Grimlock is definitely in need of Slag, Snarl, Swoop and Sludge.

I have nothing against dinobots, but there are about 50 characters I'd rather see first. I look at the MP line as an unofficial hall of fame. You have to be really popular and iconic enough to get the MP treatment (or a convenient repaint of a really popular and iconic character!). So in that sense, Sludge just doesn't cut it. But maybe I'm in the minority.

[rant] I guess I do have something against the dinobots. They are morons. I hate stupidity, and couldn't tolerate it as a kid either. Easily duped lemmings speaking in monosyllabic grunts, blindly following the king moron. I'm not sure, but I think I hate dinobots. [/rant]

Well, that's just me. What do I know anyway. It's not like HasTak is asking for my opinion.

Dinobots rock!

They are to the Autobots as the Cavalry is to the Infantry.

Just doesn't make any sense to have Grimlock without the others.

His Masterpiece scale goes well with the TF Classics line.

I'd love all 5 Dinobots but I don't see them making them anytime soon. Although the Sideswipe mold caught me off guard, so who knows. But as far as "big" molds go, I expect to see Soundwave, Ultra Magnus, Megatron 2.0, Galvatron, and likely Shockwave and others come well before the Dinobots, unfortunately.

I got MP-11 in the other day. Pretty nice, although not worth it if you have a previous Wal-Mart Starscream or the iGear retool with the hip kibble on the legs. His newly-sculpted parts are nice.

I think I'm going to eBay my Greenscream, Takara TC and Wal-Mart Starscream (with cape/helmet) now, though, for sure and just get the iGear Thundercracker and call it a day. May sell off both Takara and WM Skywarps too, and just get the iGear one. I've got way too much shit in boxes taking up space, but I still want a "definitive" version of each of the Seekers.

Fuckin' OCD.

I never had any throttlebots... but I'm in favor of all these awesome G1 remakes. If they keep making it, I'll keep buying it with a smile.... while HasTak continues to pump out bayformers and WFC molds (barf).

Barf indeed...so much barf...buckets of barf...

Bayformers, TF Prime sh!t, WFC/FOC garbage...stuff it up yer a$$ Hasbro

While I'm excited for a MP soundwave, as it's a cool figure/character, i'm mostly glad they're doing it so that every MP discussion doesn't have to include the requisite "I want soundwave or bust" whiners. He's popular, we get it. TNI is chock-full of those clowns.

Now the "I want Shockwave or bust" whiners will get their turn at bat!

But, since we assume that Soundwave will be big, cool, G1 accurate, and so forth, the big question becomes the quantity and identity of the cassettes included, as well as how many he'll be able to house at once. While I like the idea of him holding more than one, I dislike the double thick chest that recent G1 reissues have included. I'd prefer a G1 look, even if it means he only holds one tape at a time.

Soundwave is probably my most-wanted Decepticon. Next will be a resized Megatron (only because of MP-10). But I'm really stoked about an MP Soundwave FINALLY. (Also, the bonus with him should be all his minions! In MP articulation!)

As for Autobots, I'd say Ultra Magnus and as many G1 guys as they can throw our way. I was let down by Sideswipe, but if they're going to do cars now, I just hope they speed up the production on them. One every year to 18 months is taking too long.

I was super excited about Sideswipe, but the size is a real downer. He'll barely be larger than a classics and probably not even as large as an ALT/BT. That shot of him next to MP-10 where he's barely above Prime's waist made me a very sad panda. That's too damn small. Prime isn't supposed to be 2x all the other autobots. A head taller, maybe a bit more, but he's not supposed to dwarf them.

Not surprised about Red Alert in the slightest, but it is odd that they announce and solicit him before Sideswipe appears. Usually they wait many moons before they start the repaints. My guess is that the Hercules project taught them the TF community could stand to buy a $100 figure every month... I might have to start selling blood to pay for all these beautiful toys!

I'll shell out the money for 1x of every mold in the MP line, plus any quality repaints. I imagine that, while it's a fairly niche market, Transformers fans will continue to shell them out as they're not cheapskates like Joe fans.

If Takara's smart, they'll get plenty of money out of the other repaint-possible Autobots (like the Ironhide/Ratchet, and Z-triplets sculpts) and pump them out with more frequency since they're smaller and likely sell. If Sideswipe/Red alert sell well, they very well might.

I'm actually much happier about Sideswipe now that I know that we're getting Red Alert. I never got Red Alert in the Binaltech line, and I'm glad I didn't now. Sideswipe was also a terrible Binaltech/Alternator, so the addition of Red Alert to the repaint lineup makes a much better announcement now with them as a guaranteed "set", if you will. I think they were smart in announcing them both so close together.

The previous offerings have been pretty outstanding, but they could've sped up the production and I'd have had zero problem with it. With the premium pricetag, I think that it'd be worth their time, personally. Fingers crossed for more more 'Bots now.

Soundwave, though... DAMN, he's a must have.
