Like I said Joe is the way to go. Tech Deck seems to be the best, its pretty popular here and at JD. Its properly scaled and real looking. There is a set I'd like to get at TRU that isn't TD its a brick storefront that comes with a bicycle, I forget the name. Retails for about 15.99 instead of the 20 TD stuff is. Marauder gun runners has some good set peices too. (crates, lockers etc.) Google image searches will get you some good backgrounds.
Originally I wanted to get into Star Wars dios. I took a crack at it here before the crash. But its hard to do alien worlds and architecture, so Joes are the way to go imo. Lots of other stuff can be used like the Tech Deck stuff, BBI, etc. That means you gotta collect some stuff you weren't before but its worth it.
Well I read once a post by you saying something like: I buy 'em put 'em on a shelf for a few months and then they go in a box when I get some new ones. Dios are a good way to use them. And as far as I'm concerned its not "playing with them".
