it's a good theory but you would have to ignore almost the entire second movie for it to be true.

It usually just takes a big opening weekend now. They can project it really well now after the opening weekend if they're going to make money.

Honestly though, even if it sucks it will make enough money to warrant a 3rd film. We'll be getting a Thor 3 too. It's just a matter of when.
I'm really pumped for Cap 2. I hate IGN but I really enjoy their rewind theater features. Here is a bland story on Redford but the 9 minute video on the bottom is the the rewind theater on the full trailer and it's badass...
I think they may look to replace him. Think about it, Avengers 2 isn't until 2015. Then he has 2 more movies left. So he may fulfill his contract by 2017? 2018? He'll be almost 70 years old by then. Also, the show most likely won't still be running by 2017.
Or they'll sign him on until...
