This diorama is based on a true event happened in 1937.
The Chinese army was losting the biggest city Shanghai after three-month tough fighting against Japanese army. China was so weak at that time that Japan though their amry could take over Shanghai in two weeks. But they failed. The last troop called the Eight Hundred from Chinese army hold and fighted in a big building for one week. More than 200 Japanese soldiers were killed in this battle and a few years later the Chinese army defeated Japanese army with the allies US, GB and USSR.
