Slave 1 Scandal in full effect. On par with any other ridiculous and unnecessary scandal the toy companies have going on these days.
Amazon has vaporized the item from ordering, and I am now in limbo as to whether or not I will get a replacement for the damaged one those assholes shipped to me.
I am now wondering if I should just hang onto the damaged one and wonder what happens next.

Tough call. You might hold onto it since you have 30 days. Better to have a damaged one at a discounted rate than none if they do not have enough to cover the losses.
I bet Ebay prices skyrocket on undamaged ones unless the start shipping again by the end of the week.
I wonder what percentage of the initial shipments are being returned. This is going to slaughter Amazon's profits if it is over 50%. All those returns are going straight into the warehouse trash while Hasbro laughs all the way to the bank.

Well, I am Blessed afterall.
Turns out Amazon shipped out a new BSI from their warehouse in Lewisbury, PA just an hour ago.
Whether or not it's in the white mailer remains to be seen, but at this point, all I want is a spacecraft that isn't damaged. The box is honestly something that I am now indifferent to.

Did you return yours or are they automatically reshipping ones they know went out unpacked?
Edit: nevermind, reread your original post. Just hope they have enough left to fill my order after replacing the damaged ones. Wonder why others are being told they can only get a credit.

Probably because I called them 2 different times, and also emailed them as well.
I figure that might have had something to do with it, or perhaps it was a fluke.
All I know is that I am not going to be the poor fool paying 200 dollars for this thing on Ebay once Amazon pulls the plug on the entire set-up.
If I don't get one, I'll be begging top nacho for one.

OHHHH Dude, I just checked out that link. Pretty badass what you got going on with your collection. I always wanted to know what a all black Slave 1 would look like kind of like a SpecOps Slave 1, I might try it someday but I'm sure I will catch a lot of shit for it from the StarWars nerdgeeks.

I'm assuming they'll be relatively plentiful. I saw the whole 1st wave yesterday (minus medal Luke) at my soon-to-be-shuddered k-mart. They even had the 6" sandtrooper which appears to be the HTF member of the " line. So I figure Mara will not be a tough get. I think it's a myth about the female characters being tough to find.
Luckily they are starting to become more frequent. Slave Leia arms are kind of small but can work and also the Elektra arms.

My BSI arrived yesterday in a brown cardboard box.
Inside the cardboard box, there it was in the white mailer, with the white mailer surrounded by packing.
It was certainly a relief to see.
Now I just have to go to the Post Office to return the first BSI, which looks like it was drop-kicked several times.

I just read the comments on Amazon, now people are saying their are problems with the wing springs. WTF
Springs are fine, just have to turn the wings until they click. Or take it apart and put a spring from a ball point pen in it. Galactic Hunter has a MOP up showing how.
