While I'm sure there are completionists who will buy anything, this strikes me as odd. Hey George Lucas, your big exclusive is an out-of-continuity prop of the most hated, eye-rolling character in your fictional universe. Yeah, many of us wish JJ had been frozen in carbonite early in the first film, but alas he was not. Just who is going to get excited about adding this to their collection? Who is going to want to pay exclusive con prices for such a thing? I'm clearly missing the appeal.
Where the hell is the new articulation AT-AT Driver on vintage cardback?

That Jar-Jar is an exclusive. The figures that come with it will be available at retail, but not Jar-Jar.

I saw the new prequel vehicles in vintage style boxes at Target the other day. really stupid. I mean, the idea of vintage style is to put actual vintage vehicles in retro packages. Now they are just putting everything in them ruining the whole concept.

Agreed. I don't collect any prequel stuff, so my microseconds of joy at seeing a new black and silver box turned to despair when I realized it was a prequel POS. Vintage packaging for non-vintage figures and vehicles... well I'm sure the prequel fans think it's neat, but as a OT fan, it rubs me the wrong way.
my walmart has all the VOTC waves on clearance for $4, including the newest TPM wave. no one is buying that shit.
My Walmart had all the black cards on clearance this week for $8.95

LOL they'll want ten bucks for those guys and I found one from 2006 in a vendors mall for four dollars. It's the exact same figure too! Guys just go look in vendors mall for some of these figures, some of them are shameless over-priced repackings!

Heh, walk into a Base or Post Exchange and marvel (no pun intended) at all of Hasbro's action figure lines (save for Joe, which they don't carry) at the bargin-basement price of 9.95.

I *almost* bought some SW figures today, but when I saw that damn T-crotch I put them all back. I just can not get past the shitty figure design.
I grabbed my first SW figures in about a year today. Savage Oppress. I am once again caught up with having all the Sith/Dark Jedi I want untill Malgus comes out. I normally dont buy CW figures. But I think Oppress looks really cool. Was a good day at Target. All the lines had a restock finally.

I don't collect SW figs anymore (long, sad story - I won't bore U) - & I only buy SW for customs, if they have the "good" articulated crotch, latest acquisition was a CW Pre Vizsla @ Kohl;s for $6.99 - which was relegated to this custom - http://www.fighting118th.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2444

No retail? Sadly, BBTS is only selling the case, and I don't give two shakes about all the prequel figures. I can't justify buying a whole case for the five original trilogy figs.
