Black Beret Vamp WIP

I am working on a small Joe squad, The Black Berets, here is their transportation.

Base is a 30th Vamp

Top frame is a modded Ninja Combat Crusier frame with the rear cut out to mimic it being a pick-up truck

diamond plate added to the bed, as the rear wall, armor for windsheild and roof

the roof section is recessed to allow for gear storage

Also pictured is the yet to be named Squad leader with his Remote Guided Mini-Tank (RGMT) nicknamed "Doorknocker"

The front features barded wire, duel gatling guns and "stolen" guns from a Hiss

Actually the squad is a 4 man team of all original characters, featuring the newly named Black Heart pictured below

Thanks guys! Have to do some trim work around the cut pieces then a lil sanding I am hoping to get a base coat of paint this weekend. Hoping to also get the trailer made.

So a quick progess update...first pic is the final mock up before paint, the next two are after first coats, still need to paint the rear gatling gun posts, loving how the mesh came out on the windows, still undecided on the front windshield...

The diamond plate was from my local hobby stire, I can't recall the brand name but it is similar to Plastuct styrene sheets (edit it is a Plastruct product)

The armor on top is frmo the TRU sentry outpost boat, I had bought it just for the marine radar for my WHALE custom

TRU is where and $16 is how much, not too bad, but I def couldn't use the gun as it is just to awkwardly huge, used the Roadblock .50 cal

Are you going to use any ammo boxes to feed the mini guns? I used the box that came with one of figs maybe the Rock? I drilled a hole and attached.

Damn man that is just awesome!

I am undecided on which ammo box to use, the miniguns are frmo Marauder's so I ma go with their ammo box, but still leaves me with what do about the actual ammo, these mini guns are a bit smaller than joes so those ammo belts are a bit too big...

You can always lay that ammo belt flat and trim off the back shortening the length of the rounds.

I was thinking the same thing for my Moray but using mini-guns for the stern.
May have to transplant the engine to do it though and make it water jet propelled.

Thanks That is Harrison "Barrage" Franks, that fig was actually my first foray into blending two lines, torso and arms are from MU Steve Rogers and the hand and rest are Joe parts w/Flints head, which worked nice as that head is a tad larger than most Joe heads...

Besides the usual big bulbous shoulders, the MU arms are my fave...I love the bicept swivel and the occational double elbow...

So I have my driver, this is pre-paint, former race car driver that was burned badly in a wreck, was saved that day by Copper who had been watching the race, the two became fast freinds wanting to give back he joined the Joe's due to his bunrs he is forced to wear a helmet at all times

Thanks it's the collar from the Avengers comic Hawkeye, that fig is pretty damned good for fodder

After the final touches are done will post some close ups...

For now here is the final cnofiguration, am pretty happy so far, am very close some figure work to do and minor detail work to the VAMP and then finally some weathering

The Vamp is now done! I am now just waiting for the 5th member of the squad to be finished (shocking waiting on the woman, lol) Anyway here's the pics

This is outstanding, 3 gold stars for you! I particularly like spotting some of the parts you've used as I'm crap at identifying parts when it comes to figures lol. You could make me muster up the energy to finish customising all the vehicles I've chopped up & left in pieces on the floor or in boxes lol.
